Reach for the Atomic Coax and you have a regular-camber, wood-core charger that tackles the whole mountain with the float of a 105mm waist and a predictable, shred-happy personality. For those leery of full rocker, Atomic created Adaptive Camber which allows for complete edge engagement at the tip and tail when on edge, and which creates a slight rise at the tip when the Coax is fully weighted. Combine this versatile profile with the extended edge of a Step Down Sidewall and you have versatile beast of a West Coast ski that performs equally as well on East Coast hardpack.

Bottom Line: Bring out the best of any terrain, steep or deep.

Take em on the groomers, they feel stable to rail on em, pick your feet up over rollers, pop em off little airs in the chop, bulldoze some steeps, and enjoy one of the lightest most radical skis out there.

I have been more and more stoked with rockered skis, but was satisfied with the performance of the Coax. if your looking for a traditional shaped mid fat, this ski is great, it has a bit of early rise once the flex is engaged, so it has some shmeer qualities. I tested this ski on a corn day with good results. carved nice, and had an easy feel. Its not going to float like a super fat in the pow, but it seems to remains responsive in all conditions.

Pretty nice all mountain ski. Good in most conditions. Seemed to be a little hesitant in mixed snow.

Ehhh Ski

My Stats135lbs5'9''Expert Skier (competing in a freeride comp)This was the only ski without rocker I demoed during my demo day, it was 183cm, and the conditions weren't the best early in the morning, but I still didn't like the Coax. It was horrible at short turns if they were possible, not stable, very unforgiving and inspired a lack of confidence. I didn't want to push it on this ski. They did ok in larger turns. Also the ski doesn't float very well. For this ski, I skied my test runs in opposite order. Two thumbs down.
