You may still be a grom, but the top dogs better beware especially since you have enlisted the help of the Atomic Kids’ Bent Chetler Mini Ski to get you on top of your freeskiing game.

  • Composite core and cap construction make for a lightweight ski that’s easy to maneuver in the steeps and tight trees
  • Powder Rocker (traditional camber with early rise tip and tail) enables you to float in powder, bust through crud, and lay one down on the groomers

Bottom Line: The future of freeskiing.

Is this just a powder ski? Can a 90lb racer enjoy it in the park and on hard pack too?

It shreds everything. Its a little rockered, but cambered troughout. For sure good on hard pack and powder. I'm sure there are better park skis, but this ski gets it done. Skis short, just like a rockered ski for an adult, so i would upsize. My boy does not race, and he had no trouble turning the 133, which is an inch taller than him.

In his bare feet the 133 is slightly taller than my son. Am i putting him on too big of ski or does the rocker make it ski short? He is a solid skier ready to explore more mountain.

Too tall. Look at the Gotamas in the 118 or 128. I wouldn't go longer than his nose. Rocker does shorten it a little but let him have fun on them instead of getting worked by the longer board. 80-90mm width allow you to go a little shorter so you should be able to get an extra year out of them. Just my 2 cents.
