The widest offering from Atomic's line of backcountry-specific skis, the Backland Drifter Ski strikes a balance between speed on the ascent and performance on the descent. With a 95mm waist, the Backland is not a fat ski by any means, but with 130mm in the shovel and a rockered tip, it still offers plenty of float for when you're skiing powder. Traditional camber underfoot provides great stability at high speeds and excellent edge hold when you're skiing in crusty, hardpack conditions.
