If you're the kind of skier who feels straightlines, hucks, deep pow, and a bit of effortless maching is all part of a balanced breakfast, then Atomic's wood-cored, early-rise tipped Atlas Ski is your kind of staple. Geared for the cliff-dropping, crowd-wowing skier, the Altas is a mean ride meant not intended for the faint of heart.

  • Early-rise tips plane above deep and variable snow, and allow for easy turn initiation despite the Atlas' large profile
  • Full wood core creates unparalleled stability for the hardest charging, and offers a smooth, consistent, and dependable flex pattern
  • Sandwich sidewall construction turns the durability up to 11

Bottom Line: Altas--holding all your ski dreams securely on it's shoulders.

Powerful and playful

Rockered tips. Flat tails. Get some. They are stable for going fast, stomping airs, but playful in the chop and smaller terrain. Light skis. Ski solid and lighting quick. These are some of the best boards out there.

Atlas Rocks

By:
January 22, 2012

I love the Atlas, I am 53, 5'11, 187 lbs, level 8-9 skier, I love speed. I have skied the Bent Chetler in 185 and 192 and the new Salomon Rocker 2 in the 192. I enjoyed both the Bent Chet and Rocker 2, very nimble, great in trees ,soft bumps and of course Pow. I like the Atlas better for my style of skiing,it is more of a power ski where the Bent Chet and Rocker are more finesse skis, which is fine, it's just a matter of personal preference. After skiing full rocker skis and rockered tip with flat or early rise tails I like the latter which is why for me the Atlas rocks, I like a powerful tail and the Atlas shines here. Pretty light, nimble for a 192(skis shorter)no speed limit in deep snow, darn near impossible to bury the tip, crushes crud and skis groomers well enough to get back to the lifts. One run on the Atlas and I was sold.

Awesome. That just about sums it up. They're big, stiff, fast. A bit "planky" on hard pack but man, oh man are they fun.
