A 3-piece pole built for snowshoeing ladies, but works for backcountry touring divas, as well.

Adjust the height of your Atlas Women’s 7075 Series Lock Jaw 3-Piece Elektra Trekking Poles and get moving on the snowy trail or skin track. Whether traveling on snowshoes or on touring skis, these lightweight aluminum poles give you greater balance and help you get in the swing of things on the way up the two-thousand foot climb.

  • Two patented Lock Jaw clamps easily adjust the poles to your desired length and lock into place, even while wearing your warmest gloves
  • The poles collapse so you can attach them to a backpack and snowboard down the hill you just hiked up
  • EVA foam grips are shaped for smaller female hands and are easy to clutch on the steeper, tricky sections, while wrist straps keep them attached when moving downhill
  • Flexible tungsten carbide tips won’t wear out on the rocky approach but punch through hard snow and ice near the summit
  • Powder baskets give you more available surface area to keep you moving quickly in fresh snow

n00b question--- would these (or any other adjustable-sized ski poles) be suitable for a hiking trek when there isn't snow? It sure would be nice to get a twofer.

I've used trekking and ski poles interchangeably before. Like most things it's better to use something specifically designed for the activity, but I haven't found it to be a big deal to swap them around.

Hey Charles,

Atlas' mainstay is snow-shoes. A quick search of their site didn't show any optional trekking baskets available. You could always give them a call @ 800-985-8012. It's also possible that you might be able to fit another manufacturer's baskets on their poles...another question specifically for them.

Another option would be something like the Black Diamond Trail compact poles. They come with both 100mm powder baskets and trekking baskets. I don't see them here, but this is what they are from BD.

Hey Elaine,

I wasn't able to find the specs for this years model, however, I did find the collapsed length of the 2009 version which was 66cm. This one should be the same or very close.
