Awesome pair of shoes
- Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Gave this as a gift to my brother in law, but here's the feedback he has to share:
"I really enjoy these snowshoes. I have taken them out on about five different snowshoeing trip on trails and out in the backcountry of Colorado and I thoroughly enjoy using them. The shoes are sturdy and they work well on inclines as well as flatter surfaces. They fit snuggly around my boot and keep my feet from shifting around. The straps are solidly built and the shoes aren't very heavy. They also perform well on heavy powder and can easily be taken off as well as strapped on. I have no complaints. I expect that this pair will last me a long time and outperform my older pair of snowshoes."
Sturdy and well built
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
Decided to finally pull the trigger on some snowshoes. I usually try to find the best when I pick something up but this time I decided to go with something more middle tier with good value. These are just that. I'm a bigger guy so having the extra flotation on the 35s was really my deciding factor. The other reviews are spot on. These things are well built and keep you above the snow from pot holing. They do scuff up but gear is meant to be used! Very happy with the purchase and I'll probably upgrade at some point but for now these are doing me right!
Great snowshoes

I would purchase again!
Heel Lift Bar is a Must
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
I'm an amateur snowshoer, but I love the Atlas 10-30 snowshoes. I'm 175 lbs and the 10-30s work great whether I'm carrying a day pack or an overnight backpack. If you're going up any sort of an incline, the heel lift bars are amazing. I've used these and the MSRs EVO Ascents and love them both.
Great Shoes
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
I've gone on tons of outings with these things in the far reaches of Minnesota, including the deep snow slightly inland from Lake Superior's North Shore (I'm looking at you, George Crosby Manitou State Park!) and have been completely satisfied with their performance. The single strap system is intuitive and they're very quick to take on and off as advertised.
The crampons are great for tackling particularly icy hills, and even came in handy a couple times in more mundane situations getting extra grip pushing a stalled car.
The paint job definitely has it's scuffs and scratches from use, but that's really just cosmetic and would happen to any pair of shoes after what they've been through. They've got it where it counts in solid construction.
Excellent Shoes
- Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I picked these up end of season to do some snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park. Having previously rented shoes, my hope was that these would perform better (rentals tend to get balls of snow under the arch). I was not disappointed. I went with several other people and was able to handle slushy trails, ice (on and off lake) and steep inclines with ease. I love my new snowshoes and have already recommended these to several friends.
Stable and easy to use
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
The shoe needs to be easy to put on and comfortable without coming loose. While using the needs to be a feeling of stability. The Atlas meets these requirements - very nice product.
Atlas 10 Series Snowshoe
Do these fit with snowboard boots?

one of the 1030 showshoes are marked women's(peacock). The tan 1030's are not marked either way. Is the color the only difference?
