The Foam Tectonic platform puts the flotation into plates, like the tech namesake, to keep the PFD profile fairly low. The vest itself is made from burly 400D ripstop nylon and lined with a moisture-managing, though tough, 200D nylon mesh. While seal tusks outmatch the Sea Wolf, errand oars or rough rocks shouldn't leave your PFD worse for the wear. Polypro webbing makes it simple to tweak the fit to match your layering for changing weather.

The front clamshell pocket has a hard foam front and unzips to give you a portable tray, in case you need a dry place to rest your snacks.
