You found the best fitting saddle, you wear top-dollar shorts, and you're a liberal chamois cream user. Yet even with the best preparation, skin irritation is sometimes just a few hours away -- the grit laden spray from wet roads and salty sweat residue are two things that come to mind that can make a chamois feel like sandpaper at the end of a long day in the saddle. For this, Assos produces Skin Repair Gel.
Use it on your clean and dry body parts apres ride. Skin Repair Gel offers a soothing, cooling effect. It doesn't contain any alcohol, so don't be afraid to slather it on tender chafed spots. After all, that's exactly what it's made for. It promotes the healing of skin damaged by friction, in part, by stimulating circulation. We like how Skin Repair Gel is bio-adhesive. You'll rub it lightly onto the affected area, and within a minute it seems to disappear into your skin -- no greasy film. And that it lacks a fragrance is nice so you can take a long lunch ride and get back to work bouquet-free. Don't let today's tough ride ruin tomorrow's.
Assos Skin Repair Gel is safe for both men and women as its slightly acidic pH5.5 composition won't alter your body chemistry. It comes in a 75ml squeeze tube.

I have just ridding again and have been suffering through a multitude of saddle sores and no matter how much ASSOS chamois cream or clean I kept my "cycling engine room" and shorts i still kept getting saddle sores. Well ever since using this after rides on minor irritation that kep re appearing after each ride i am saddle sore free. Awesome product and wish I would have had access to in my youth. Cheers Assos for a great product.
Didn't Know I Needed It Until I Tried It
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I don't use it after every ride, but this stuff is terrific on skin that feels tender or irritated. It is particularly useful for consecutive days of riding. It soothes skin immediately when applied, and has a pleasant aroma, herbal and slightly astringent. After a few minutes, it disappears completely, with no residue or lingering smell. A little goes a long way. The tube I bought in March is still going strong in October.
