Having had these for a couple weeks and worn them 6 days a weeks I can only say they are ok.

On ice they are a danger which is a big deal given I live in Iowa and have spent several nights walking around an ice covered parking lot.

They seem to be fairly warm; the temperature has been down in the 20's most nights and I haven't any problem with my feet feeling cold.

No problems with my feet getting wet but really haven't been out stomping around in anything that would constitute a real, extensive test on this issue.

In comparison to the other boots I have purchased recently ( a pair of sorel and columbia boots) they are more comfortable but on every other level get out performed.

Although I'm reviewing discontinued boots I wanted to second Rod's opinion on the Mystic's terrible traction on ice and snow, in case someone gets these on clearance or something. After using these a handful of times climbing Mt Whitney in cold conditions it was obvious that these have terrible grip on snow and ice. I was unable to keep up with my companions because I had to be much more careful with my footing or I would, and have, slipped where they had no problems.

These boots work. I have used them for both work (aircrewing on helicopters) and hiking. I have a broad foot and they are more than adequate. These boots size very much like Salomons - go a half size up. The boot is very light and very different to their others - Flame etc which have that heavier, sturdier feel. These are excellent for lightweight hiking, though if you require a stiffer mid sole you'd be better placed to go for a more traditional boot.
