Tackle the toughest trails.
Cradling the foot in blissful comfort as you tread across the craggiest terrain, the Asolo Women's Mesita Waterproof Hiking Boot is an all-season hiking boot designed with Asolo's Natural Shape technology. Ideal for wear in the nastiest conditions, the Mesita Waterproof Hiking Boot confidently blazes across soaking-wet fields, rainy streets, and snowy trails. Its waterproof, breathable membrane, water-resistant suede upper, and gusseted tongue keep outside moisture from dampening your feet, regardless if you're running errands around town or hiking through pristine wilderness areas.
Rugged enough for high-alpine use and craggy desert treks, this tenacious boot protects your feet from rocky sections with its rubber toe overlay and impact-absorbing PU foam midsole. The Natural Shape footbed cradles your every step, alleviating pressure points when you're carrying heavy loads in the backcountry or walking long distances through rugged terrain. As if that's not enough, the Asolo/Vibram Natural Shape sole confidently treads over jagged rocks, loamy forest trails, and dusty gravel paths, thanks to its self-cleaning lugs made from Vibram's high-performance rubber.

- Q & A
great for wide toes and small heels
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 6
My feet are very wide at the toes, but very narrow in the heels. I get heel lifts with wide boots and end up with blisters on my heels. And in boots where my heels don't lift, my toes are too squished. I had a hard time find the right boots until I found these!
I was able to wear them hiking and backpack right away, without having to break them in. I never roll on my ankles and prefer to feel the ground when I hike, so I was ok with the soft sole and minimal ankle support.
Basically these are the perfect boots if you have wide toes, narrow ankles and require little ankle support.
Like hiking w/ plastic bags on your feet
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 9
These boots are a great concept - waterproof, lightweight, and generally minimalistic. All things I was looking for in a pair of hikers. My first pair of boots were Asolo and I adored them, so I was excited to try these. When they arrived, unfortunately, I discovered a manufacturing defect: above my left toe was a fold in the fabric that literally dug into my foot with every step. Obviously not good, but hopefully limited to that particular pair of boots. My second complaint was the reason I returned them and didn't ask for a replacement: the boots made loud crunching sounds with every movement. It literally sounded as if I had tied plastic bags onto my shoes. I think this is related to the waterproof membrane, but it is really annoying. Maybe the sound goes away once they are broken in, but I was not interested in finding out. Sorry Asolo, but I prefer listening to nature, thus I would never recommend these to anyone.
