When you first pull it on, it may seem like the Asics Women's GEL-Blur33 2.0 Running Shoe is all about the upper fit, which is remarkable; after a trial run, though, you'll be raving about the ride, too. The Blur33's Mono-Sock construction eliminates the need for a traditional tongue, instead making it easier than ever to slide  your foot into this shoe and achieve a snug, comfortable fit. Ample cushioning, including a rearfoot Gel pod, absorbs the impact from the road, and ultralight midsole material won't weigh you down.

  • Mono-Sock Fit System utilizes an internal elastic sleeve which replaces a traditional tongue so this shoe fits close like a sock
  • ComforDry Sockliner provides cushioning and resists the bacteria that causes odors, and encourages the movement of moisture away form your skin so your foot stays dry
  • Ankle collar molds to the foot thanks to dual-layer memory foam cushioning
  • Midsole is made of dual-density foam that provides support and stabilizes your footstrike on uneven terrain
  • Solyte midsole material is ultralight and extra durable
  • GEL rearfoot cushioning pod absorbs shock when your foot hits the ground so you get the smoothest transition from heel to toe
  • Outsole is reinforced with high abrasion rubber in critical areas
  • Sole uses vertical flex grooves that allow for a more flexible tread pattern
  • Ideal for anyone from underpronators to mild overpronators

Biggest Blister Ever!!

I purchased these shoes for running...the description sounded great,I love the coloring and style, however I eneded up getting the biggest blister on the side of my foot from them. I even wore them a few times on some short runs to break them in, as well as a 10 mile run and was fine, however the following week when I did an 8 mile run I got the biggest blister ever! I thought I would have been okay since I wore them enough on prior runs, but after getting that big blister I will not be wearing them anymore. I have a photo, but I doubt you want to see it.

Aside from the blister, how's the sizing, cushion and lacing? I currently run in the DS racer but am looking for something with a little more heal cushion.. Also did you evaluate the socks you were wearing? I find think nylon/wool blends are perfect! Cotton socks generally retain too much moisture and bunch up, this will cause a blister.
