Don't let your gear keep you down.

There's no such thing as the perfect ski, but the Armada TSTw Women's Ski is about as close as they come. A true do-it-all shredder, it can rally groomers like a boss, chow down on big ol' helpings of powder, and cruise into the backcountry, all without batting an eyelash. Built with Armada's EST All-Mtn Rocker—an early-rose tip, flat tail, and traditional camber underfoot--it floats through powder and initiatives turns with easy smoothness without giving up powerful edge grip and aggressive turn finishing when you lay it on edge and make tracks back to the lift. That combo of float and edginess make it great backcountry ski, the perfect choice for days when you're spending time cruising up the skin track to hit powdery lines, hard alpine steeps, and wind-affected crust.

For a ski that truly rips, the TSTw is surprisingly light, thanks primarily to two things. First, it's built on a lively, flexible Hybrid Ultralight wood core to keep ounces down without sacrificing playfulness, agility, and power. Second, Armada designed it using its famous AR50 half-cap construction, which uses traditional sidewalls underfoot for edge grip and aggressiveness and a cap towards the tip and tail for weight savings and pivoty maneuverability. There's also a fiberglass laminate matrix laid up over the core for an added shot of stiffness and strength, along with a speedy Comp Series sintered base and bomber 1.7mm Impact edges to give you stress-free bite on the hardest of hardpack.

Took a while to get used but good now

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These skis were really hard for me to get used to as skied K2 Miss Demeanors before which were a completely different type of ski.

I've always wondered why certain pro skiers like Tanner Hall lean back so much on Armadas and now I know- the turning point in them is quite far back compared to other skis I've used before.

They are USELESS on ice but they are AMAZING off piste (obvs). They are also pretty good on piste generally.

They flap about a bit but that's to be expected with Rocker- just need a bit of getting used to.
