There might not be such a thing as the perfect ski, but if there were, it would have to be the Armada TST W Women's Ski. A true do-it-all shredder, it can rally groomers like a boss, chow down on big ol' helpings of powder, and cruise into the backcountry, all without batting an eyelash. Built with Armada's EST All-Mtn Rocker, the profile consists of a heavily rockered tip with traditional camber throughout the rest of the ski, so it floats through powder and initiates turns with ease without giving up that powerful feel you want when you're coming out of a turn or stomping a big landing. That combo of float and edginess makes it a great daily driver both inbounds and in the backcountry.

The TST W is surprisingly light thanks to two factors: first, it's built on a lively, flexible Hybrid Ultralight wood core to keep weight down without sacrificing playfulness, agility, and power. Second, Armada designed it using its famous AR50 half-cap construction, which uses traditional sidewalls underfoot for edge grip and aggressiveness and a cap towards the tip and tail for weight savings and pivoty maneuverability. There's also a fiberglass laminate matrix laid up over the core for an added shot of stiffness and strength, along with a speedy Comp Series sintered base and bomber 1.7mm Impact edges to give you stress-free bite on the hardest of hardpack.

I love these skis! Perfect for all mountain, and all conditions! Feels like I'm skiing in the coulds! I would seriously recommend this ski to anyone who likes to ride everything, like me!

so much in love with this ski!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've skied ice, powder, and even played a bit in the park with the TSTw and I don't think I'll ever ski on anything else ever again (with the exception of my JJ 2.0's on the really deep days).

the ski is playful in soft snow & can turn through trees delightfully well, but can still really carve hard on piste. I've never felt so confident making hard, wide turns on a fatter ski before.

Definitely recommend this ski to anyone who plays at Alta/Bird, or is looking to step up in their skiing ability from intermediate to a little more advanced.

so much in love with this ski!

What width binding brakes would be most appropriate for this 100mm underfoot ski? 95, bent slightly, or 115?
