I love this jacket

By: Backcountry.com Sponsored Athlete
October 13, 2009

The main reason why I love this jacket is because it is light, without sacrificing quality and durability. The fit is very comfortable and relaxed. It also kept me dry through some serious weather. A very practical shell to say the least. Also, the green/magenta color way is a sweet throwback from the early 90's.

Passed the Test

Just got back from a ski trip to japan and this jacket was awesome.. kept the elements out and looks hell steezy.. Did well when teamed with a pair of thermals and a tshirt in white out conditions and just needed a tshirt under it for the bluebird days.. I digged the headphone hole in one the pockets.. only thing it needed was a pass holder on the arm to make scanning the pass easier.. but apart from that small niggle, i couldn't fault it..

Patrick, it does have an additional cinch at the hem. It also has a powder skirt. Set those two up No snow is getting in. Unless of course its so deep that it enters through the neck area :)

Cell phone pic. After stomping a ~30' huck, I hiked back up to stand in the massive bombhole.

Breaks tree branches w/o a scratch

By:
February 15, 2010

This jacket is awesome! Great powder skirt and thumbloop wrist covers keep the snow out (needed a snorkel yesterday), and it breathes better than my Goretex gear - I'm now an eVent convert. The hood works great with my helmet, not too tight to turn my head, but tight enough to keep chill out on windy ridges. The best part about this jacket is how bomber it is. If you know Vail, you know the good stuff is in the trees, if you can handle it. This jacket has been beaten to hell by branches and doesn't show a scratch. It's built to last and can take some serious punishment, including full on branch-busting adventures in search of the goods. I got the magenta, and it's allowed my buddies to easily find me in the trees.

Big, not huge. If you like a baggy fit, order your normal size. If you like super baggy park rat steeze, go a size up. I'm about 6'1 and the XL fits good and baggy.

Sidecountry Adventures

By:
March 24, 2010

Cell phone pic. Fun in the Beaver Creek sidecountry. Despite the warm day, eVent kept me cool on the hike without having to shed the jacket. As you can see, in the right size, the fit is loose but not baggy.

Armada Inverse Jacket

By:
November 14, 2009

Just picked this thing up... holy shit. I got the black/white, with the black Quasar pants, and it and it looks fresh as... well, you know. Sweet pow skirt, snaps to keep your pants from sagging to much, amazing fabric, and extremely high quality craftmanship (read: it looks flawless) from a first year outerwear company is pretty damn cool. Hopefully I'll get some pics up when the pow starts to pile up.

From Rain to Mt. Whitney

By:
October 1, 2009

I was at Mammoth in a full-on rain storm and was the only one out of all my friends that stayed totally dry, I love this Jacket! It really performs and holds up well. I hiked in it to the top of Mt. Whitney, it breathes extremely well, and weathered the 18" of slushy snow no problem.
