Sick Pants

These pants fit great and are really light weight. I'm 5,9 and got the medium which are slightly baggy but not super baggy. The pants also have plenty of pockets.

Looks and fits great but material is cheap.

This pant started out great. It is light, fits great, and is very warm for a shell only pant and is quite waterproof. The pant looks great and provides great freedom of movement.

Unfortunately the MegaRex 2-layer material is just not durable and is not up to all mountain skiing. After only 20 days of skiing this season the cuffs are entirely cut up. I then washed the pants in a machine per the instructions and the Recco reflector has cut up the bottom of one of the legs so it is no longer waterproof. I will be returning this item as you expect much more for the price.

Would have to agree here, this is an excellent item for the skier who doesn't charge too hard and like to stay out of the trees - but the pant tends to rip up pretty quickly. Waterproofing lasted for quite a while, but is beginning to wear off. The pant lasted much much longer than 20 days though. I purchased the blue colorway and it still looks and works great after about 45 days of riding snowbird/alta.

I'm 5'7", 31" waist and I want a little baggy

I'm 5'7", 31" waist and I want a little baggy fit for freeriding not for park. What size would be good: small or medium?

Wouldn't small be short in length?

Great pants

I'm 5'8", 31" waist and wear a small. These pants fit really well and have tons of pocket space. They keep me really dry and warm. Even thought there is no insulation the construction does a great job of keeping out the wind and keeping the cold out.

Do these pants fit well? I'm 5'7", 31" waist and I want a little baggy fit, but not too much. So how fits a small? Is it an exact fit or a little baggy?

Great Pant, Durability Issues

By: Backcountry.com Employee
January 15, 2011

The Armada Faid is a great item for sure - awesome materials and construction, and great fit - but after 45-50 days of skiing hard at snowbird/alta, they are starting to fail me. The 20K waterproofing still works well, but much of the cuffs are pretty tore up. Deff skied through some tighter trees, and the material is holding up pretty well along the thighs where branches tend to brush against you.

For what they are, i would suggest them. If you need something with a bit more durability though, i would look elsewhere. I have a feeling i'll be grabbing a different pair of pants before the season ends.

I agree with you. I like these pants but they do have some durability issues especially the cuffs, mine were torn up only after 5 days.
