Built specifically for female rippers, the Armada ARW Ski features women-specific balance points and curves that are ready handle park, pipe, and all-mountain terrain with style and grace. The AR50 torsion box construction blends the best of both worlds for weight savings and durability, and the burly 2.5 Impact Edge means that this ski can definitely stand up to even the most gnarly park features.

  • Positive camber profile fully engages the tip and tail for increased responsiveness during turn initiation and for superior edge hold
  • AR50 torsion box construction features ABS sidewalls underfoot and cap construction in the tip and tail for superior edge hold and a lower swing weight
  • Hybrid Double Zone core features two high-density wood stringers and ultralight wood sandwiched between ABS sidewalls underfoot for increased durability and weight savings
  • Carbon/KEVLAR® stringers run along the tail to aid stability during landings—especially if you're too far in the back seat
  • Armada's toughest base, the S7, features a gliding additive for increased speed and longevity and is built to stand up to rails, boxes, and ledges

I've been looking at these ski's for a while now. I'm not sure what size to go with. I'm 5'6", 115 lbs and I'm new to the park world. I have a pretty strong skiing background in racing and just all mountain, but no experience in the park. Outside the park, I would say I'm advanced. With the exception of moguls. Hate them and I've never tried to conquer them.

So which size do you think would be the most suitable? I demoed the Armada ARVW ski's this year and I believe they were a 165. I wasn't nuts about them, but they were an okay length, though a completely different kind of ski I realize. The conditions were a bit icy though. I'm not sure if the length of the ski is what made me not love them, or if I just didn't love the ski itself.

Thanks!

I know this ski is designed for park, but is it able to go well in backcountry/powder?

This ski is more of a park oriented/all mountain groomer ski. It would not be the best for backcountry/powder because it is only 83 underfoot. You would want something wider for all BC/pow. I recommend anything from 95-110 underfoot. Highly recommend the http://www.backcountry.com/armada-tstw-ski-womens for backcountry/pow/all mountain!

Best Women's Park Ski!

These skis are AMAZING!! They are by far the top women's park ski out there. These skis have so much energy and the perfect flex. They are soft enough to ollie and butter but are stiff enough to handle tricks off big jumps. The shape of them lets you rip groomers and they are very stable on everything from crud to ice. The combination of cap and sidewall makes for low swing weight, so spinning on these is super easy! The camber with wood core will mean these will never lose their spring and play. I have skied on lost of men'sand women's park skis, and these are by far the BEST! Highly recommended for anyone who has been in the park game for years, or for someone just starting out and wants an all mountain ski.
