Everything about the Armada ARV adds up to award-winning durability and versatility. Built with burly ABS Sidewall construction, Armada’s bomber 2.5 Impact Edge, and light-but-snappy Double Zone Core, the ARV comfortably handles whatever terrain your freeriding takes you. Positive camber brings a predictable, traditional feel on variable and groomed surfaces, and the ample width stomps soft backcountry transitions with ease.

Bottom Line: Ride ‘em anywhere.

I read about and witnessed a durability issue with the top sheet on the 2008 model. Chips within the first few days. Was this issue fixed on more recent models?

I have the 2011 ARV and they are very stable in packed powder/powder. They are a little squirrally on the groomed. (I ride my 2008 K2 Apache Cheif's on those days)... as for the durability issue.. I've ridden my ARV's 20+ days, and don't have any issue with peeling/chipping of the top sheet.

Perfect All-Mountain Ski's

By:
January 4, 2011

I'm a big fan of these skis after using them this holiday season in different conditions. I had them on a fresh powder day where we got 20 plus inches, and a few days later when the fresh snow was gone (groomers and packed powder). These ski's can handle it all and I felt comfortable in the powder or on the hard stuff. I

I've only been skiing for two years so I'd consider myself an intermediate skier. I'm about 6 foot and 180. I purchased the 185 cm's because I wanted to have some ski's I could use for a long time. Prior to these ski's I was skiing on 165 Dynastars. I felt much more confortable on these Armada Arv's and the new length! The graphics from this year's model are stellar. I'd recommdend these to anyone as an all-mountain ski. The only additional ski I might purchase in the future is a powder ski for very deep snow.

Armada makes great ski's that can handle it all. I'd also recommend getting some of their soft goods!

Did Armada fix the durability of the top sheet with this model? I tried the 2008 model in Keystone last week. Loved the ski, but man they looked like hell.
