    This is my favorite hoody.

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:True to size
    • Size Bought: medium

Bought this in a medium and fits perfect. Green is gorgeous and looks great with the Airblaster bibs in wild tribe. Very warm and soft.

    Pretty badass

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

So, I don't climb mountains or anything like many people here - but I can say I wear this riding my horses where you need clothing that moves and this is the ticket. I also wear it to work out in barns and it's very functional, has great coverage behind and doesn't ride up when it's 10 below in dairy barns.

    Fabulous in every way.

Exceptional fabric, cut, function, color-works layered over and under other pieces, moves with the body , great craftsmanship. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a versatile well made piece for either serious performance or casual comfort.

This is one the most favorite items of clothing I have. I wore this during a backcountry ride outside of Mammoth and it was perfect! I didn't get too hot on the skin up, and it kept me warm during the windy ride down. The fit is perfect - like one person said below, it is well fit across the chest and shoulders (and I'm 34DD) and perfectly on the waist, not baggy - just comfortable!

I am about to buy this in the other colors since it went on sale!

Madly in LOVE with this piece!

I 100% agree with Annie, this is the GREATEST midlayer out there! The Grenadine color is amazing and fit is flattering, true to size. Quality is top notch, as always Arc'teryx kills it in the durability and construction. It's so comfortable and soft, I love the stretch in the fabric and I adore the hood, it fits nicely under a helmet. I wear this piece snowboarding, backpacking, and for casual wear! I wish I had this piece in every color!

    Light, warm, stretchy

This is the greatest midlayer ever made, in my opinion. The fabric is so soft and supple that this is very comfortable to wear as a midweight base layer, but it's also a very attractive, beautifully fitted piece that I have been wearing casually. I expected it to be shiny but it's not- the fabric is a very soft synthetic blend. It's tightly woven fabric which allows the top to be very warm without being heavy or bulky at all- typical Arc'teryx top of the line quality. The top is fitted through the shoulders and chest and a bit looser through the waist and hip to allow for a full range of motion. The neck is really high and the hood fits close to the head which eliminates the need for a balaclava. My iPhone fits perfectly in the small hip pocket. I have used this top skiing, hiking, climbing, for casual wear, and to my late and cold softball games. There is not a single thing that I would change!

    Love it

I have yet to try it out on the mountain since I just got it, but I have to say this thing is warm and super comfy. Like the other reviewer said the neck goes up high and when you don't have the hood on, it doesn't feel too bunched up in the back. The hood can easily fit under a helmet. I bought it in the grenadine and it's a great color. Now I want it in slate!

      Yes! Love the vertices

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Have you ever bought something on a whim not knowing how much use you would get out of this? Well, that was the vertices hoody for me. I wear this top skiing- as the neck goes up high and keeps me nice and warm, and the hood works great under a helmet on wet and snowy days. I always wear this from day to day just because it is amazingly comfortable and cozy. I need it in every color!

was thinking about getting something like this for my wife, she was concerned about how to get it on with her hair. How do you fit your hair underneath the hood? Does it pull? Is it difficult to get comfortable after you put the hood up? Thanks in advance

"Balaclava-style" is a very accurate description of this hood - it is a snug fit around your head! I wouldn't really say it pulls... I usually have my hair braided when I wear mine (skiing) so it kind of falls to one side. I can't really say I've worn the hood up much, but it is not uncomfortable to do so!

If that is a real concern, maybe a zippered option would be better?

Or something with a looser fitting hood like the Detente!
