Description

Dry hands get more vert than ones wrapped in soggy gloves.

Soggy gloves are a sure ticket to cold hands; keep your digits dry and pull on the  Arc'teryx Vertical SV Gloves before you head out to the slopes. Between the waterproof breathable Gore-Tex N80p-X shell and the highly breathable Polartec liner glove that can be pulled out at the end of the day for quick drying, you can focus on getting down the narrow couloir you've tackled instead of counting the minutes until you can find shelter from the cold.

  • Waterproof breathable Gore-Tex Pro membrane, DWR finish, and fully taped seams work together to keep your hands bone-dry
  • Waterproof capabilities further boosted by the super-tight weave of the proprietary N80p-X shell fabric
  • Supple Lezanova goat leather overlay on the palm and tops of fingers is highly breathable, washable, and doesn't require special leather treatment
  • Tri-Dex construction patterns each finger individually for exceptional dexterity and precision touch
  • Smooth, seam-free fingertips let you pick things up without seams getting in the way
  • Tiny Gore seam tape and micro seam allowances minimize bulk and weight and increase breathability
  • Pull-out liner glove made with premium high-loft Polartec Wind Pro on the back and lighter-weight Polartec Thermal on the palm side to balance warmth with maximum dexterity
  • Liner glove held in place with hook-and-loop interface
  • Hook-and-loop tab locks the glove onto your hand so you can easily slide it under your jacket cuff
  • Short length lets you wear it over or under your jacket cuff
  • Removable wrist leash allows you pull off the glove without worrying about dropping it

Needed a great Gore Tex glove and this piece nailed it. I'm normally a large, so that's what I ordered -- felt a little tight, so I got the XL, which felt a little big. Ultimately went with the large, which turned out to be exactly what I needed -- It conformed to my hand nicely, and the dexterity is terrific. Easy on and off, and the Velcro cuff is super solid, and doesn't work against the glove. Strongly recommend.

My new coat has hand sleeves to keep the coat from getting pulled back. With these gloves low profile around the wrist it makes a perfect combo. The ability to pull the liner to dry is a huge plus as well. I would not recommend these if you are looking for a glove to put over your sleeve as they are simply too short.

I haven't had a chance to use the glove for an extended amount of time outside, but as far as I can tell its going to get the job done. Arc'teryx makes great equipment so I am hopeful that it lives up to their standard. The fleece liner is pretty warm and is removable which is a great feature. The removable wrist leash is probably the weakest part of the glove...Overall it has great dexterity which was most important to me as I am more of a mitten person, and was getting tired of taking my mitten off to adjust boots, skis, jacket, etc...
