    Don't get scorched.

Any closet can be drastically improved with the Arc'teryx Men's Transept Shirt. Having a sun shirt ready at hand for those July scorners is a summer necessity. Rather than bathe yourself in oily sunscreen, don the 30+ UPF-rated Tarha fabric, a blend of materials balanced with cooling cotton, strong nylon, and two-way stretch spandex. This trim-fit shirt remains lightweight while providing the sun protection and function that hot days demand. When the newscaster begins frying eggs on the sidewalk, that will be your cue.

    Good looking and Comfortable

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: XL

This shirt fits me well. I like button up shirts but typically they don't like the rotundity that is the foundation of my torso. I marked it as runs large because Arcteryx typically has too athletic a fit for me and this is not the case with this shirt. The fabric has a very nice feel to it with just a touch of stretch which helps with the aforementioned belly issue. For those of you who like Arcteryx but are often unable to wear it due to the slimness factor this may be the shirt for you.

    Subtle but sharp

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large

This is a great looking shirt and holds up well to abuse. The only reason for 4 stars is that it fits a little big compared to other Arc'teryx clothing. I would recommend sizing down if you want it to fit a little more athletic.

Dad Z is looking fly in the Transept.

    • Size Bought: XL

My dad is a very particular dude when it comes to clothing. He doesn't like large logos, cheap feeling fabrics, or poor quality stitching. He's got an eye for fine detail and appreciates craftsmanship. A piece of gear/clothing has to be pretty well-made to get the Dad Z stamp of approval, and it seems the Transept shirt has passed the test.

The fabric is breathable, cool, buttery soft, and light. It's perfect for hot summer days out and about, but is handsome and sleek enough to transition to a nice restaurant in the evening. My dad is 6'4" and around 190 lbs, and the XL fit him perfectly-- nice and trim without being too tight or too boxy.

    Nice but...

I like the look of the shirt but I needed something that was more fitted through the waist. I wear a Medium and the shoulders fit fine, but it was enormous at the waist.
