The Arc'teryx Men's Stinger Bibs use Gore-Tex Pro fabric to provide total protection against moisture and plenty of breathability to keep you cool on a backcountry ski trip. Their gusseted crotch and articulated knees allow you to move freely on the ascent and descent. Arc'teryx gave the Stinger Bibs two front and two thigh pockets to hold essentials like tools, snacks, or a radio. A RECCO reflector may help ski patrol find you in the event of an avalanche. Whether you ski inbounds or in the backcountry, the gaiters keep snow out of your boots while Keprotec instep patches keep your ski edges from attacking these top-notch bibs.
Bottom Line: Bring the high-performance Arc'teryx Stinger Bibs along on your next backcountry ski trip.
1.) Its premium gor-tex, I have owned sever different brands gor-tex or version of gor-tex and nothing steps up like Arc' Teryx or Mammut.
2.) Its Bib style, I primarily use these for skiing in an area that it is snowing more often than its not when i ski. The bib style fits sung around the hip/waste and is held up with the suspenders.
3.) These bibs are a Shell, meaning they have no insulation. I have found that having no insulation is the best because then i can insulate to how i see fit. The other day i skied Colorado on vacation and wore nothing under them and felt great where as most days here in Alaska i have two layers on underneath.
All in all these bibs are freaking sweet, i will never buy knock off gor-tex again and Arc' Teryx is no knock off.
Do these have a 'trapdoor' that you can open to take care of business while wearing a harness? I don't mean a zipper fly, I mean a zipper around your back side.

I'm guessing these are the logical successor to the venerable Minuteman Bibs. I'm thrilled with them. The Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabric seems to have excellent breathability, and is supposedly more durable than XCR. They fit great (M works perfectly for me at 5'11", 160lbs), and just feel right. The extra height of the bibs (over ski pants) means that snow doesn't end up down your back, and your upper layers don't come untucked. This is a simple, streamlined, elegant design, clearly optimized for backcountry skiing. There are two side vents (hip to thigh), and four pockets -- no unnecessary zippers or closures or strange features that you don't want. I wouldn't change a single thing.
My husband got these in Long (he's 6-2) and they look great on him, very formal, almost like tuxedo pants:-) He is pretty happy with functionality as well.
DOES ANY BODT OUT THERE KNOW HOW TO FIND THE PRODUCT # FOR ARCTERYX PANTS? I have 2 pairs bothare gore-tex xcr and 1 is bnibed and the other are not and I can't find anything like them on the net IO also have this bad ass mt. hardware jacket that I camn't find on the net .Can anybody help me?
Jesus dude, slow down. 8 typos in two sentences. It sounds like your jacket/pants might be outdated. Outdoor gear companies (especially the well-known ones like MH and Arc'teryx) change their lineup slightly almost every year, so your stuff might not even be made anymore. Without a description, no one's going to be able to help you find them, and even with one all we can do is look at them and see if they match, which you can do yourself. Tough luck.
I've always skimped on my ski pants, not this time though. Finally a gore-tex absolutely waterproof and windproof pant. The construction on these pants feels bomber. You'll find the 2 big-ass cargo pants very roomy, more than enough room to stuff all sorts of things.
I'm 5 10" 195 w/ 30" inseam, a Large short size is the perfect fit. The bib system w/ the stretchy fabric on the back panel seems very breathable. The suspender system works well, you can actually "undo" the suspenders even if you have a layer over them. The 2 pockets in the bib section are perfect size. The ski protectors panels are bomber. I have a pair of these pants... simply the best fitting pair of pants I've ever had. They're expensive, but after getting spoiled on these, I couldn't wear anything else. Edited - And the zipper only goes from hip to knee...
Upgraded to these pants after 10 years with a pair of gortex pants from REI. Just used my new Stinger Bib for a week of powder skiing in Utah.... These pants are expensive, but you get what you pay for... extremely well thought-out, high performing, bomb-proof. Specifics: I'm 5 feet 11 inches, 150 pounds and the Medium sized bib fits me perfectly. Adjustable built-in straps and bib design (vs. pants) help keep snow out when you bite it. Plenty of room in the knees and seat for full range motion. Leg openings fit well over ski boots; inner liner with rubber-like / gasket-like opening and metal grab hook at 12:00 to hook onto your boot buckle or laces... keeps the liner in place and the snow out. I couldn't be happier with these pants and give them my highest recommendation.
