The Arc'teryx Women's Sidewinder SV Pants’ sleek and minimalist styling belies some sophisticated performance properties. Waterproof Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabric, meticulously taped seams, and laminated water tight zippers keep you completely dry in blower conditions and slush. Large side vents provide air conditioning when you work up a sweat earning your turns in the backcountry, and women's-specific articulation facilitates your best athletic performance. Durable fabric and burly instep patches mean you can take a tumble in the trees and not look like you were just attacked by a marauding tiger, and a built-in RECCO avalanche rescue reflector prepares you for backcountry emergencies.

Bottom Line: The ultra-tough and clean-styled Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Pant keeps up with your aggressive riding style.

Runs small in waist

By:
December 13, 2010

I originally bout the extra smalls because Arcteryx claims on their sizing chart that an extra small is size 0-2. I have a 26" waist and a 32" inseam. The length on the extra small talls fit great, but I had to send these back because they barely buttoned.

I reordered the small talls and they fit perfectly. However, they only have about an inch of room in the waist, and are relatively fitted all the way down the leg. The length is great for me! The sizing chart claims that the smalls are size 4-6, but I definitely don't agree because I am a size 2 in just about everything and these pants wouldn't fit anyone bigger than me.

The color is great, too; a very dark brown that looks black sometimes and even a very dark green in other light.

Great for wet conditions.

By:
December 29, 2008

These were purchased for my daughter who skis in Juneau, Alaska. They commonly have extremely wet and windy weather conditions. She tells me they keep her warm and dry-not an easy task. Naturally she has an Arc Teryx jacket too. Our entire family is very outdoor oriented and we all think Arc Teryx is in a league of it's own in terms of keep you dry. She's about 5' 2" and 118 lbs, the smalls fit her perfectly.

Hi i was woundering how high up the ski pants are? Do the hit the belly botton or under by the hips? Im 14 years old and 5'9" and i want long ski pants but i don't want pants that hit the waist really high because im so young.

These are probably too high in the waist for you. Sorry I'm late in answering your question, but I just noticed the question today. Hope this helps!

Just one flaw

By:
February 4, 2009

small tall fit my wife, size 4 with 33 inseam. Bulletproof very hardcore(minimalist, utilitarian)construction. Performed well resort skiing with thick midlayer. One flaw: single snap constantly unsnaps (despite 1-2 inches extra room in waist for layering), then zipper follows. Note many competitors have 2-3 snaps and velcro. Saving that insignificant weight costs needing a belt, it does have loops. Did return, hard to spend top dollar (325) and say "I like 'em except..."

Sexiest Ski Pants

By:
April 29, 2009

I love these pants-they actually look good while on. They are very minimalist-few pockets, no lining. But they do great at keeping the snow and wind out, while keeping you dry on the inside. I was glad I found these at such a great deal on this website. I love Arcteryx stuff, just hate paying full price!

I'd say true to size, and not tight. It's one of the more relaxed cuts from Arc.

Great rain gear!

By:
December 3, 2008

Got the pants to go with my arc jacket. I live in Western Washington (the rain forest) and I raise arabians. It rains here alot. This is the best rain gear ever. I don't groom the horses in it because I heard gortex doesn't mix well with the oils in a horse's coat. For everything else it's great. With a pair of long johns as a base I wear these guys all of the time. I stay bone dry and warm which is a plus in rainy damp weather like ours.
