Arc'teryx created the Women's Scorpion Pants for skiers who ride hard and need a highly breathable softshell pant that keeps up with their pace. Gore-Tex Soft Shell Low Loft’s exterior feels soft in hand rather than stiff while a plush fleece interior warms your insides. This Arc’teryx softshell pant keeps you dry as you enjoy the fresh snow, and ankle gaiters keep the snow out of your boots. The Scorpion Pant’s meticulous design and well thought-out pattern provides a flattering fit without losing any of its performance value.
Bottom Line: If your hardshells can't keep up with you, hit the slopes in the Arc'teryx Scorpion Pants.
Of course these are made of high quality material. Very warm for weight & breathable, & highly water-resistant. That being said, they're made a good amount bigger than other Arc'teryx pants. I know they're a "relaxed fit", and made to wear stuff under, but when I tried them on with my baselayer underneath, they were hanging on my hips with a good amount of excess material. I expected a bit smaller. I'm 5'7" 125 lbs & small was too big. XS might have worked, but BC doesn't have any XS. The only other thing that would've been nice is handwarmer pockets(these pockets are too low on the leg to use for handwarmers).Overall these are great pants, just order a size smaller unless you like'em baggy.
The Arc'teryx Scorpion pants use a webbing belt (removable) that can be replaced with a stylee one, if you prefer.Stingray pant has adjustable tabs.
One note, the copy here says these are water resistant and breathability isn't specified-which is incorret. This pant is built with Gore-Tex Softshell, and as such is guaranteed waterproof/breathable.
Assuming that these are like the men's version they have an integrated belt but no adjustable waist tabs. I don't believe any of Arcteryx's pants have the adjustable waist tabs.
The Arc'teryx Scorpion pant is made with Gore-Tex Softshell, and as such, are completely water-proof and breathable, not water resistant like it says here. In addition, the high-loft fleece inside adds insulation, without being bulky and "puffy" looking. I've got the men's version, and they will keep you dry in the worst snowstorms, and I usually wear a thin baselayer, or add light fleece pants, if it's really cold.

The gore-tex softshell material has a little bit of flex to it, but it is not that significant. I would check out a product made of the material in person to see if it offers what you are looking for.
The Scorpion pants are my favorite skiing pants - practically waterproof, warm, yet breathable. I always turn to these pants whether I'm heading into the backcountry or just playing in the resort. I was worried about the lack of venting zips, but they breathe so well there isn't a need. They are simple in design, yet high in tech features. They are worth the price.
yes I have seen these pants in "short" sizing. However, you better have really short legs because the inseam on the regular is only 29 inches. The fit is the same on both besides the difference in length.
I love these pants. Since they're Arc'teryx, I expected them to be warm. But, I was surprised how comfortable they are - and they're long enough. I do wish they had better-placed pockets, however.
These pants are really well made. They are quite light weight and thin, but super warm and waterproof. These are the first pair my wife has owned and she is very excited about them. Well worth this great price!
After getting sub-par brands I sucked it up and got these and am so pleased. They are your usual ARC smallish sizing. I'm a size 2 to 4 and I went with the small so I'd be comfy with my layers on underneath. the XS was pretty tight for me but I curvy, if you're a straight athletic build and a size 2 the XS would probably be fine. Anyway, they are pretty much waterproof with the Gore-Tex Soft Shell and I stay warm with the soft fleece lining even skiing in -5 F temperatures with good merino underneath. I actually get TOO warm in them if I have thicker layers on but they are awesome. I think touring would be too hot in these in the backcountry but for resort skiing and shorter hikes I'm totally fine in these and the construction is so much better than my crappy old ski pants. These don't rip and they are just bomber. I wish Arc'teryx made petite pants, being 4'11'' mine are so long that when I take my ski boots off I have to roll them up to wear with regular winter boots.
