Arc'teryx Rho LTW Bottom - Women's

The Arc'teryx Women’s Rho LTW Bottom is a super-tech Merino/lycra base layer. Fine Merino wool makes the lightweight Rho soft against your skin and wicks moisture with ease, while a touch of lycra in the fabric helps the garment maintain its shape for adventure after adventure. (Nobody likes a case of the baselayer saggies. Ew.) The Rho Bottom retains its warmth even when wet, so if a little snow sneaks in there or the gods frown upon you in the form of hydration pack leakage, you’ll still feel comfortable. The Merino sheep live outside in New Zealand all year, you never hear them complain about being cold. A laminated thigh pocket makes a super-safe place to store a key or cash.

Bottom Line: Bottom Line: The Arc'teryx Rho LTW Bottom fits your curves, insulates, and proves that the term “technical base layer” isn’t an oxymoron.

I'm 5'5" with longish legs and the S/P fits with length to spare. Wore these several days in a row alone, with socks and legwarmers over, with a skirt, under pants, versatile and warm! Side pocket worked well to hold a cell phone. They seem like they'll be durable. Not itchy.

Super leggings

By:
August 24, 2007

These leggings are fantastic. They are super light, but very warm and breathe well, as you would expect from wool. They run a bit long. I'm 5'4" and have about 3 inches of extra fabric. Also, compared to the slimmer cut of some of the Arc'teryx clothing, these seem to run a little more true to size.

I love the ARC'Teryx clothes, because their designs are very feminine, nice, smooth and fit perfect, specially for petites.
I used my bottom for hiking, snow-shoeing and to say warm at night in front of the fire, under a regular pant.
It is comfortable, easy to store and to wash and its pocket is very convenient, for carrying hand sanitizer and wipes, very handy for everyone.
I also use it at home for doing yoga and it is awesome. Please, say thanks to the designers of this brand on my behalf, because it has been very hard for me to find the clothes that look and fit perfect just for staying comfortable at home or for exploring the wonders of the world.
I just came back form Peru, and in Cusco I wear my Covert Zip Neck, because it was chilly and like we say in Spanish, 'el frio ni chiste me hizo/I laughed at the cold weather'.
Actually I have a very nice pictures of my boys and I wearing this lovely sweater in this fascinating city, that mixes the mysteries of the Incas with the arab-spanish heritage and the uncertainty of the modern world.
Thank you

Warm, fitting, lightweight... arcteryx goodness

By:

Worth the price. These are comfortable, fit well, no rough spots, deliver warmth at an acceptable weight and well made in the traditional Arcteryx way. They are one of the few articles I brought with me for a year's employment at the South Pole Station, Antarctica.

Nice

These long underwear are fantastic. Very warm yet very thin - making them great for layering under anything. Maybe long, I have the boot cut version and they go to my ankles, however I'm only 5 feet.

Rather tight fitting and what is the pocket for?

By:
April 20, 2007

These are warm and allow for freedom of movement. The band that goes over the tummy is a little tight for my taste, and I'm not entirely sure what the pocket is for other than styling. Still, for someone as short as I am (5'0"), it's nice to have a baselayer that actually fits lengthwise.
