How are these regarding odor control? I've had trouble with odor in both Nike and Salomon trail runners, so hoping these will do the trick.

Preceda Short

Very nice shorts right there. Climbed with them last weekend and they're very stretchy, don't get stuck so good for leg movements, light, and of course from Arc'teryx, stylish.
Got the M while my waist size is 32", right on. If you're 33" or more you probably want to size up.
Pockets are good, only little drawback is the side pocket (mesh) doesn't hold phones very well, it's more for keys I guess. Also, kinda expensive, but got 40% off on departmentofgoods.com

Absolutely love these for running. The zippered bum pocket is amazing. Can carry my phone and I cant even tell it's there. Also, love the above the knee length. Not quite ready for a full running short short like the visio, but getting there. Lol. For now, these are perfect.

Great for warm weather summer hikes, very comfortable, knee length (6ft 1), pockets in all the right places, material wicks sweat away quickly and is tough

I like these better the the tactician shorts, I like to have the draw string. Wore them all week in Acadia. You will need some compression shorts or something to go with them though.

Wow. A 4 inch variance between XL and XXL (39" to 43") 39 inch waist about an inch too small, and 43 inch waist almost 3 inches too large. Does have a drawstring waist, but don't want to look or feel "cinched." Anyone have any experience with these shorts? Are they cut like everything else by Arc'Teryx? As in very athletic cut? Thx. Jim

Jim, I've got a pair of Preceda shorts, and I'd say fit-wise they're pretty typical Arc'teryx-athletic fit; certainly not baggy. I'm a 32" waist and wear a medium (33" on size chart) and I don't use the waist cinch cord because they stay on just fine while I'm running. I guess I'd say to try the XXL. I do really like these, and have worn them for a lot of different activities.

I pretty much have the same opinion as the others who rated these shorts highly. Nice alternative to cotton.

Arc"teryx Preceda are Great

Expensive even on sale but these are worth it. They fit great and handled a 100+ deg tennis match in Phoenix. They also feel great which one doesn't think much about but is true.
