Poor Durability

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I purchased these liners for ski trip in Europe. I wore these liners for 6 full days of skiing, and they did not hold up well. By the end of the trip there were small holes forming in at least 3 spots on each hand. For the price, I would expect them to last more than a week. They are warm, thin, and fit well, but the material is not durable and therefore not worth the money. Backcountry accepted a return and I am going to try a different liner that will hold up better.

Just got these gloves - What's the best way to remove the gigantic care label?

Worth every penny

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I went back and forth considering these glove liners versus much less expensive brands. Bottom line - I'm so happy I spent the extra money, because these liners are like magic. I was doing an acclimatization hike to almost 17,000 ft in Ecuador in driving snow, and my partner forgot her gloves. I gave her my insulated goretex gloves and I wore only these liners. Surprisingly, they kept my hands warm and dry on their own! I wore them under my gore-tex gloves the next day for a higher summit attempt, and they worked perfectly to add just that little extra warmth I needed.

I've worn them as a cool weather running glove, and they performed well in this application, too.

Basically, they scale up and down a wide temperature range and are so thin with narrow seems that they got under almost any glove. And, they dry quickly.

you get what you pay for

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Bought these after I realised my fleece liners made my shell gloves too tight. Typical arc'teryx quality, slide easily into my shells. I would estimate they buy me 10+ degrees of added warmth and do a good job transferring moisture off my hands. Also have worn them just as a glove and they do a good job blocking light wind with temps in the 30s.

The Best Gloves

Either under your excising glove, or alone. These gloves are great for everyday wear. I have 2 pairs, one for each of my outdoor jackets.

Awesome liners!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These liners are thin and perfect for using under thicker gloves for added warmth, or alone to take off the chill of the air. As is standard with Arc'teryx, these gloves were designed with movement in mind. Because of this and the fact that they are thin, you have the dexterity to do anything with these gloves you could do without them. They're great for when you to pull your gloves off to use your hands, but don't want them to be freeeeezing.
