  • Next-to-skin fit keeps this top as close to your skin as possible in order to aid moisture transport and help you stay warm
  • Phasic AR fabric is hydrophobic in order to help transport moisture away from your skin to the surface where it quickly evaporates
  • Phasic AR fabric uses a construction called mechanical stretch that relies on the weave of the fabric to flex, rather than elastic threads, which creates a stronger fabric with more dynamic flexibility
  • Phasic AR fabric incorporates polypropylene yarn with silver-ion encapsulated into the fibers in order to provide odor control that lasts longer than chemical coatings
  • Phasic AR fabric has a smooth outer face that's pill-resistant and an interior side that's lightly lofty for warmth

Put your moths on a diet

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 10"
    Weight: 215 lbs
    Size Purchased: XL

So I lost *every single* Icebreaker piece I've ever owned to moths, despite being stored with cedar blocks and prominently displayed signs saying "Please do not eat my wool." Switched to Phase. Haven't looked back. Dries massively faster than merino equivalents, in my experience. The ARs are warm enough for most anything you'd want to do actively even in deep winter; SLs are equally nice and awesome to sleep in. Will stink a tiny bit if worn days on end without washing, but not nearly as bad as other syn baselayers I've tried. I'm sold.

Perfect Base Layer

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Everyone hypes merino wool but this piece is now my go to base layer. It fits perfect. I am 5'11, 190 and a Large fits just right. It has a very athletic/next to skin cut. There shouldn't be any bagginess when wearing it. About the product: there is a SV Zip-Neck version and this AR Zip-Neck version. They are essentially the same product with a difference in warmth/thickness/stiffness. I wear the AR for days 65F-20F as my base layer and the SV for days 20F-0 or below as my base. It has been a year of heavy use and it still looks and feel great. Machine washable. Buying more of this product.

Excellent

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Was lucky enough to pick one up on steep and cheap. It fits well, is light but surprisingly warm, dried quick. Great for a variety of activities...running, hiking, skiing....anything u would need a base layer for. Highly recommended

Comfortable and light

This is my new favorite baselayer when it comes to snowboarding, hiking, etc. Very soft and comfortable to the touch and does a great job of regulating temperature and wicking moisture. The odor resistant claim is valid and the flexibility in the top is great. Fits true to size, I am 6'0 173lb and a large is perfect.

Awesome feel

Whether you are going on a hike trying to keep it simple, or looking for a great layering piece to go skiing and have under your down jacket and shell jacket this is the way to go. Great feel: Soft, good stretch and a nice conforming feel around your chest. I am 6'1" 170-180 and a large fits really well!
