Sleeves too short

Nice shirt except the sleeves are really too short. I would love it except for the sleeves.

Not what was expected

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

The shirt has a weird boxy fit - it was a gift and was returned becuase the sleeves are very short and the color is not blue (ordered blue Kyanite) it's actually purple. We have several Arc-teryx products and have been very happy with the quality of them, but this shirt is not worth the money.

Too expensive.

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The shirt is too expensive for what it is. Nothing special about the material and doesn't fit great, a little wide.

Fits small

Nice material, a bit expensive, and is cut one size small in the shoulders. Large typically fits me ok, but had to send back and get xl. It fits ok but the waist is cut for people that are pregnant or have a beer belly, like most shirts and clothes these days.

Too big

Well, I ordered the medium and it was not so slim fitting. I felt like I was swimming in it. I'm 5'10, 155 lbs, and I would order the small for sure next time.

I'd buy it again

This shirt is a slim fit according to Arc. I usually wear a large in most of their clothing, a large in this was like a smedium, granted I have a 43.5" chest and broad shoulders but this thing was ridiculously tight.
I definitely recommend sizing up on this one. The shirt has a nice cut and feels really comfy. I'm 5'9" 205 and I'd rock an xl in this.

Nice Shirt Narrow Shoulders

I really like this shirt. The fabric is nice and doesn't wrinkle really easily. I also like the fit everywhere except the shoulders. I'm 5'11" and 200lbs. with a 44 inch chest. I bought the XL and the shoulders are still just a little narrower than I would like. Not narrow enough that I won't wear the shirt, but narrow enough to be a little restrictive if I bring my arms forward. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of if you have broad shoulders.

Great for travel

I bought 2 of these and took them with me to Asia. Light weight, relatively wrinkle free and a good fit. A great summer shirt for travel.

Responded on

Follow up. After 2 months the collars of the shirts developed a strange crease that ran laterally and caused the collars to fold in 2 places. I liked the shirts but this caused me to return the two that i purchased. I don't want to continually iron a shirt like this.

Good fit, good shirt

I'm loving this shirt. I'm ~6', 175lbs (fairly slim) and a large fits nicely. I'm also going to try a medium, but I suspect that the shoulders will be too narrow.

It's definitely slimmer than other short-sleeve button ups, but it's not SUPER slim.

I've only been able to wear it a few times, so I'm not sure on durability, but at least it fits well and seems well made.

Responded on

Fit update: Medium was a bit to short, so sticking with the large.

Nice but too small

Just purchased this shirt in small for my husband. Was way too small for him, and was almost too small for me (size 6 female). The sleeves are short, almost a capped style, which makes a tighter fit across the shoulders. Will try the M next.

Nice shirt

I really love material, feel like I don't stink after wearing couple days straight traveling around world and having hours of layover. It's just a button down short sleeve shirt, but it has usual Arc sense in it. I went size up from my usual Arc, and I'm glad. Yes it is roomy compare to Arc, and perfect for summer.

Quality

Another quality product from Arc'teryx. The stitching is superb, with incredibly low tolerances. Being 70% cotton, this shirt is surprisingly breathable, and has never had that annoying "stick" that other cotton button-ups are notorious for. Have not yet taken it climbing, so cannot experientially comment on durability; but it seems to me like it would not have a problem.

As far a sizing, I am 6'2" and an athletic/ lanky build and a LARGE fits well through the length and arms. The picture makes it seem a tad more slim fitting than it actually is.

Overall, great shirt; highly recommended.
