Description

Super packable, hydrophobic headwear.

That smelly bandana has soaked up its last sweat particle, because the Arc'teryx Neutro Visor provides superior head-cooling while you tear up another long trail through the mountains. Made with the same fabric as Arc'teryx harnesses, this breathable visor doesn't absorb sweat so you can remain cool during the hottest summer runs. Plus, its soft brim lets you shove it in your pocket once you get back to the trailhead or campsite.

well designed but a small flaw...

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Like most things from Arcteryx, it's overall a great product.
What I like:
It is super light and the brim is a very soft material that can be rolled up.
It is very airy and wicks really nicely.
I happen to like this kind of brim: one that is short but steep (think of a cycling cap). Less for keeping sun off your face/neck but great for keeping sun or rain out of your eyes without being very visible. I really can't see it when it's on, which is great.
The only downside (and it is a real downside) is that it is TOTALLY unadjustable and the material is not super stretchy. It's a little snug on my head . If I had a bigger noggin, I would definitely get a headache.
I don't know if this a real downside, but the instructions read to spot wash only (i.e. no washing machine). My hats get pretty skanky, so I'll be testing this one out for sure.

Arc'teryx Neutro Visor

I absolutely love this visor. The material wicks away moisture quick and efficiently. The visor is super pliable and easily packs small with no weight. I use the visor for trail/road running and have done many long runs with it with Zero issues.

OK

Thought this would be the bomb for trail running, because of the flexible nature of the brim and body, but was a total let down. The fit is a bit awkward and it just didn't sit right on my head. Granted everyone is different but I was looking for something a bit different I think. I ended up getting a Buff Visor which I think is incredible, but super hard to find, they don't retail them in the US yet or ever.
