Sickety Sick Graphics&Fit - But Quality?

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I love the Arc'teryx graphics: They're razor sharp and basically howl stories of your outdoor prowess.

At 6'3'' and 185lbs, I'm fairly thin and a LRG t-shirt from Arc'teryx is the best fitting shirt I've come by from almost any brand: The sleeves are slightly shorter than usual, the fit is tighter in the stomach area, and the length is good for those with height.

I've owned three Arc'teryx shirts and all three have experienced the same quality issues: the fabric is really thin (if you need to scrub out a stain or tree sap, etc. it'll leave the fabric visibly wounded), the neck stretches out and loses shape, and two of my shirts have faded considerably.

For what Arc'teryx charges and as sick as their designs are, they should beef up the quality so that we get more life out of their t-shirts. (My only other piece of gear by them is a wool hat that's toasty and durable.)

Flock of birds

The back logo of this shirt is pretty cool looking. The weight of the fabric is thinner and lightweight so it's great for warm weather. If you're looking for a thicker and more durable shirt then this might not be the best option for you. But overall it's very comfortable. The sleeves run a bit short as well.

Arc'teryx Multi Bird T-Shirt

  • Fit:True to size

It has a great feel to the fabric and a perfect fit. .This is the first time I purchase Arc'teryx T-Shirt because I usually love the Mammut brand for shirts, but it's surely a great shirt, quite pricey and have to see how the laundry makes down the road and if they still worth it.

Thin fabric

  • Fit:True to size

Like most Arcteryx products, this shirt fits more athletically than shirts from some other brands. Its also super comfortable in warm weather because the fabric isn't very beefy. The only downside is that the material is so thin that it isn't especially durable. But I don't know if there is anything I have owned for more than a week that doesn't have a hole in it.

My Shirt of Choice on the Rocks

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

One of if not my favorite climbing shirt. Something about the way Arcteryx makes their shirt, from the fit to sleeve length to even the little brand tag at the cuff of the sleeve makes this shirt the one I usually pick out before hitting the gym or crag. It's a shame they got rid of the purple one - I would really like that in my closet.

My Shirt of Choice on the Rocks

Really comfortable

I know it's just a t-shirt but it's one of the most comfortable ones in my dresser. The blue moon color is really rich and sharp looking. I haven't washed it a whole lot, so can't comment on how it will hold up, but Arc'teryx usually does a good job when it come to durability and quality. I'll comment again if my opinion changes once I use it more.
