Description

Smear across a granite slab, sprint down the trail, or perfect your downward dog. One shirt will do it all.

Take a deep breath in the Arc'teryx Women's Mentum Comp Shirt. You have all the room you need to breathe, move, stretch, run, and climb in this highly versatile top. It's shaped to graze your body in a flattering way, but it's not tight either. And thanks to plenty of built-in mechanical stretch, you can move any way your muscles will let you. Light, airy Crystalis fabric keeps skin cool and dry, while Helius panels at the back and hips boost durability under pack straps and hip-belts. A pretty overlapping sleeve design adds the little feminine touch you like.

Silky!

This fabric is super lightweight and breathable. It's awesome for the searing summer temps over here in Utah. The fit is nice, and the fact that it provides UPF sun protection is a total plus.

The fabric is much thinner than you would expect from the pictures, which is great for hot-weather activities. You can actually see the pores in the material, which lends some serious wicking action to this fabric.

Highly stylized fit

For me, someone who is built like a stick, Arc'Teryx is a hit and miss, and most of the time a miss, in terms of fit. The brand is really built for women with very defined curves (well endowed at the chest, and big powerful hips), for most cases - just look at the female model they use on their website. And this shirt is no exception. I also don't like the highly stylized sleeve. It's hard to describe, but there is a overlap on the outside of the sleeves that I know it's good for ventilation but just doesn't look right - again take a look at the Arc'Teryx website pictures. Also it's definitely a slightly more relaxed fit. I got my usual size, along with Motus crew. I kept the Motus which has a slimmer fit and sent this one back.

What I do like about this shirt is the material - they used 2 different material, one for the shoulders and hips, which feel a bit more durable than the one used for the body - good for carry a pack. Also this shirt has a UPF 50 rating, which is awesome!! I can't understand why so many athletic shirts out there either have no sun protection, or do not show a UPF rating! If I'm out all day with sunscreen on bare skin, I definitely don't want to worry about whether I'll get burned under the shirt or not!! Please all the outdoor companies, UPF shouldn't be a luxury, it should be mandatory. And anything under UPF30 is pretty useless.
