Arc'teryx designed the M280 Mixed Climbing Harness to give demanding ice and mixed climbers a lightweight, comfortable feel with all the features they need and nothing more. Thanks to revolutionary WST construction, this Arc'teryx harness disperses weight throughout the entire width of the waist belt, so it doesn't need bulky padding. The M280 Harness includes two gear loops to hold your draws and four ice clipper slots to help carry screws and holster tools. Arc'teryx also used mesh leg loops to decrease bulk even further and shave weight to a mere 9.8oz.

Should i worry about the leg loops being to loose. The waist is tight but I have about one inch on extra space in the legs.

You should get a harness that fits in the waist and the legs. I'd size down for safety.

Great harness overall. Easy to throw on and top rope. Fits nice, super lightweight, and barely noticeable when climbing. It does dig in a bit when you're suspended, but nothing too bad. I'm 5'8, 150, 28 waist and got the small, fits perfect. Hope this helps.

i've got a 33-34" waist and am about 25" in the thighs with pants on... i've never tried on an arc'teryx harness before and don't know if they run big, small, or true to size... with my size, could i pull off an XL?

You should get a Large in the Arc'teryx harness. XL will be a bit too big in the waist and legs-not what you want! Maybe another model has the size you need...

Super light and comfortable for climbing. Im using indoors without layers so being that the legs don't adjust it really digs in when belaying and fall occurs (but my legs are on the smaller side). I ended up exchanging for next size up.
Only 2 gear loops?! Can anyone comment on these getting crowded

The M280 is designed with mixed sport routes in mind (10 quickdraws). If you're looking for a harness for mixed ascents with trad gear, you'd be better served by the x350a. It has 4 gear loops, 3 ice clipper slots and adjustable legs.

Measure your waist size with all the clothes you plan on wearing on, then use the sizing chart on the R320 harness.
