Wear them for everything!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I wear these pants for absolutely everything I do, to work, climbing, casual hangouts, they're awesome. The only downsides are that there aren't enough pockets, a little too baggy (and I prefer that look), and that they make a bit of a "swish-swash" when you're walking. Other than that I love them. Especially the belt hook idea because it works great and has never given me an ounce of discomfort whilst allowing for an incredible amount of adjustment!
Great pants!

BEST pant for tall climbers

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have always had trouble finding a long enough inseam until I found the Grifter pant. I am 6'3" and have a 32" waist. Since I often cannot find a long enough inseam for that waist size, the Grifter pant is perfect for me with its taller inseam. Not only does the pant fit me perfectly but it is great for rock climbing. I recently wore these on my most recent trip down in Moab and they were perfect for wiggling my way up cracks and chimneys.

I loved these pants, till they started ripping. The warranty through Arcteryx is expensive and timely. If you want a company that stands behind their product, and will help you out with repairs that don't cost as much as the initial product, I would recommend going with OR or Black Diamond.

These are super comfy from everyday use to multi day traveling. Integrated belt makes it a breeze for getting through airport check in. They dry fast, so if you have to washing on the go this is the pants for you!!

Perfect pants (for me anyways)

i have been on the lookout for a few years for a lightweight cotton canvas-type pant. i have finally found them. the material is fantastic. the belt system is a stroke of genius; my waist can vary over the course of a year form 34" (summer) to 36" (winter). i ordered the 36" waist, and was a little worried when i first put them on, they seemed big. but i simply adjusted the belt and it took up the slack perfectly. these pants will not be outgrown.
the cinch cords on the legs work awesome too to take up any slack. could use some rear pockets, but i can live without them. it was hard getting over the sticker shock of these at first but glad i did; ordered another pair a few days after the first arrived. reference: 5'11", 200 lbs

Great pant if you have long legs

Measured inseam on 34" waist was close to 35". Too bad it didn't state any inseam information in Tech Specs. Can't hem pants either because knee darts are in middle of shins
