Pack the Arc’teryx Women’s Gamma MX Softshell Jacket on your next vertical adventure for lightweight warmth and superb wind resistance. Arc’teryx used Polartec Power Shield Lightweight softshell fabric with Schoeller Dynamic to give this jacket excellent snow-shedding capability and a fuzzy inner face that wicks moisture from the skin and provides light insulation from the mountain air. The jacket’s seam design contours a woman’s shape, stretching liberally to maximize mobility. Articulated elbows, a drop-tail hem, and gusseted underarms work with the dynamic fabric to let you climb, ski, tour, or trek with full freedom of movement. Hand pockets and low-profile chest and arm pockets hold little necessities within easy reach.

Bottom Line: The queen of all softshells--fleecy soft, with wicked-good protection.

Nice lightweight jacket!

Nice lightweight jacket and great Arcteryx quality. Very expensive for what it is. I found that the non-hooded version fits shorter and trimmer than the Gamma hooded version, but true to size.

Great for all 4 seasons

I've owned the men's version of this jacket for several years. I bought this one for my wife, Lara for her birthday.
These jackets are incredible when it come to wind stopping power. In 3 seasons it is stand alone. In winter it is a great mid-layer. On an exposed ridge or on a Harley, it's the jacket of choice.
Bottom line-- you can't go wrong.
Oh yea, it looks great as well.

simply the best

this is my second Gamma MX jacket. I purchased the first one 8 years ago. I'm 5,2 120 Lb and wear an S. unfortunately for my first gamma mx it was washed too warm in the washing maching and got all wrinkled and ruined. after 8 years of good services I thought I would just buy an other one, and I went straight for the same model. I use it for running, and everyday business. GREAT wind blocker and very efficient with rain too. This is simply the best jacket I have:))

I highly recommend

I bought this jacket specifically for spring skiing, as it was described as the lightest soft shell jacket and 98% wind-proof. To my surprise weather in Vail in April felt more like February, with temperatures of 19 deg F and snow storms every day. My jacket could not have gone through a better test. I loved it, I felt comfortable and fully protected. Powder skiing in it was fantastic. I highly recommend it.

Light and Breathable

I bought this softshell to replace one that was just a bit too warm for what I wanted. The Gamma MX is far lighter and more compact than the one it's replacing. So far I've been very pleased. It blocks the wind and breathes beautifully. It seems to regulate temperature quite nicely when I start to warm up. It has the high quality construction and attention to detail you expect from Arc'teryx. I love the elastic cuffs which fit trim with no velcro. I wear a medium and occasionally small in most jackets. This piece in a medium fit well with room for some layers underneath.
