Let the Gamma LT pick up where evolution left off.
That lush forest of chest and back hair you sport may offer some protection from mountain weather, but it's not quite enough to keep you comfortable when you're at 9000 feet and the air's a touch dewy. If you want to actually stay warm and not be mistaken for the missing link, the Arc'teryx Men's Gamma LT Softshell Jacket is probably the way to go. It's made with Arc'teryx' lightweight, durable, and stretchy Wee Burly Double Weave softshell to buck wind and shed light moisture, and has as an extra long collar for increased coverage, so you can finally stop combing your chest hair up into your beard. Two stretch cuff gussets lock in warmth, while high hand pockets and internal chest pockets keep gear easily accessible if you're wearing a backpack or climbing harness.

First arcteryx product and I am impressed. Breathes very well but doesn't fully block all wind like a windstopper jacket which is fine for my use. Plan is to use it for warm spring skiing. We'll see if it will hold up since if feels lightweight.
Also, really like the tailored arcteryx fit.
