Arc'teryx makes their Duffels with incredibly tough 1260D ballistic nylon to withstand the abuse of expedition travel or just a bad day in the airport. Available in 85L, 105L, and 130L sizes, Arc'teryx Duffels range in size from “a week on the road” to “a month in base camp.” These giant duffel bags include a full-length top zipper for easy access and a side pocket for smaller necessities. Top and end handles give the option to carry these duffels alone or with a bit of help. We recommend the second option.

Bottom Line: Load up the massive Arc'teryx Duffels when you need to transport a whole heap of gear.

The Best Duffel Maybe Ever

By:

Here’s what I want from a duffel: withstand my abusive nature; be moderately water repellent; hold all my backpacking gear, boots, extra clothes, trekking poles, tent, and hydration pack; laugh in the face of me throwing it around, walking on it, driving over it, and kicking it through the airport terminal; scoff at baggage handlers, whether they’re sadistic or not, having a really bad day or not; last practically forever; have zippers that do last forever; look good (no pink or purple polka dots); and store easily. The Arc'teryx is just such a duffel.

Good Duffel

I first purchased the v10 model of this bag and it was way too big for my needs. I was simply looking for a bag that I could put about four days worth of clothing and fire gear in. The v8 was definitely a better size for me. The construction of the bag and the materials are top notch. There is a zipper hood at each zipper to keep weather and dirt out of the bag. The bag is a little pricey for a duffel, but well worth it in my opinion. Just be careful with what version you buy. The V10 is the medium and it's way too big for most people not on an expedition.

Perfect

The bag is made in a rugged yet manageable manner. It is in keeping with other arc'teryx gear, it has plenty of room, tough zippers, rugged construction, it is truly perfect for travel, hiking, climbing. This is a great buy.
