Storm Trooper Sweatshirt

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small
  • Size Bought: Small

I bought this sweatshirt on sale and could not be happier with the value. The cross-over collar stays close to my neck and provides full neck coverage even with the hood down. I also love anything with thumbholes since the longer sleeves fit my long arms. This thing is super stylish, multiple people comment on it each time I wear it. It's definitely designed for fall and not winter, but with a long-sleeved shirt underneath it kept me comfortable in wind-free 40F weather.
Sizing is where I dock one star. I usually wear XS in Arcteryx, but luckily I was able to try it out at the SLC warehouse. I found it difficult to get my head into the neck of the sweatshirt, quite surprising since I have a fairly small head. I blame the cross-over collar, it doesn't have enough stretch to allow your head in comfortably. The S was just as flattering and easier to put on, so I recommend going up a size if you don't have a tiny head and have a touch of claustrophobia.

-fully covered from neck to wrist

-pricey (when not on sale)
-cold wind cuts right through
-collar is difficult to fit your head through

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

This sweatshirt is just that, adequate. I am glad I got it on sale and used a coupon, it is definitely not worth the regular price of $98 or even $68. For this price, I was expecting a heavier, warmer hoodie. I have only worn it a couple of times so I cannot comment on how it will hold up. It is really cute and the fit is flattering for a hoodie. I have long arms and the arms are definitely long enough.
