A very light warm jacket with little bulk. Wicks the moisture very well except at the thin elastic cuff. Perfect for alpine sports. Great weight and compressibility for expeditions/multiday backpacking. I was so impressed I ordered three more! Do note, as per specs, it is NOT windproof. I place priority on technical performance but as a bonus it looks great and everyone wants a cuddle.

is this jacket that bad like the reviews on the 2007 says? i mean,they say is flimsy super tight and odd fitting,my fiance is 5' 3'' and weights 111,what size should i get? thanks!

I am 5'2" 120lbs and have the XS. I have muscular arms so the arms are tight, and it is a little tough to put on because of this, but it keeps the warmth in, is great for layering, and they have definitely stretched out. The tightness has never been uncomfortable and I can fit a base layer underneath perfectly. It hits perfectly on the waist in the front and dips down in the back.
All in all, I love it and it's really warm.

I feel like the bad reviews are from those who don't understand what this fleece is designed for: layering under a shell. Hence the lightweight and close fit. As for Flimsy, this fabric holds up better than any other high loft fleece out there. If you're looking for a super-breathable, yet very insulating under layer, this is about as good as it gets. Your lady would fit a small just right.

bought it for under my shell for skiing. Hope it reduces the sweat so I don't freeze during breaks :) I am in between sizes so I bought both sizes and the smaller size fit me better.
