Mountains? Check. City? Check. This is one seriously do-it-all fleece.

The only certainty in the mountains is that things are going to change; by the time you cram down your lunchtime PB&J, the morning's blazing rays will have given way to brooding clouds, or the storm will have been driven off by the sun. Arc'teryx made the Delta LT Men's Fleece Jacket to roll with the changes, with Polartec fleece and a lightweight design that's equally at home on its own or layered under a shell when the weather's nasty. Gusseted underarms and a dropped back hem mean the Delta is most at home when you're being active, but it's got a sleek look that's more than happy to head to class or work (as long as you slip out early for an evening hike).

  • Polartec Classic 100 micro velour small grid fleece
  • Lightweight and packable
  • High collar
  • Laminated sleeve pocket
  • Gusseted underarms and dropped back hem

I originally purchased the jacket as a comfortable fleece to wear while on flights that got too chilly. That was 3 years ago and since I have found the jacket to be a very versatile piece. It works for me as a good mid layer. My most recent adventure was a ski trip where a few days started off a 5F and only got up to 20F. I was on the fence about whether it would be enough to layer between a lightly insulated shell (Burton Stagger 2L) and a merino layer (Arcteryx RHO 1/4 zip), but it did the trick. In the Fall, Spring and occasional Summer cool mornings or evenings I reach for this piece first. I like the full zip and the pockets are a huge plus in my opinion.

What is the center back length of a medium?

My favorite fleece!

This is a very lightweight fleece. But the fabric is waffled so when you layer, it provides more warmth. Super versatile - a light layer alone and adds a lot of warmth when used with a shell. Quality and fit are great. I am 6' and 170 and the Medium is a perfect fit - Snug enough to layer and not too snug so looks great when worn as a jacket.

Wishing for a little more

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:True to size

I love arc' product, this however will be sent back. Feels slightly cheap. Fit is nice and fit but lacking drawstring in waist will lose the sale. I'll continue to buy other arc' product though

I just received mine as well. Compared to the same style from two years ago, it is thinner and smaller. Will be returning.
