The Arc'teryx Delta AR Zip Pullover is an ideal layer between you and the cold. The Polartec Thermal Pro fabrication is made with high-loft and excess negative space to hold heat and make the Delta AR very packable. A high collar and long front zip let you adjust ventilation as the temperature changes. Arc'teryx cuts the Delta AR with a longer and trim cut because you will want to layer it with a jacket or use it on its own when the action heats up. *Available for US shipment only.
Bottom Line: Take the Delta on all of your adventures.
I thought this thing was way too expensive but I bought it anyway....and I'm glad I did. After a few days I actually went and bought it in another color. I can't begin to say enough good things about this piece. Perfect weight for the fall and works well under my Sidewinder shell on the mountain.!
You get what you pay for. Thin but insulates your body heat very well. Definitely Arcteryx quality. I use this often for layering and for casual wear. For me, it substitutes a light insulated jacket.

For comparison purposes, I'm 6'5", 200 lb, and don't carry fat. This fleece was a pleasant surprise in terms of arm and jacket length. It does fit a little snug however, which causes it to ride and slide up when you are active. It seems like the fit is designed for a professional cyclist type build, someone with a very slight upper body.
This pullover looks good and provides a moderate amount of warmth. It is a good second fleece, not in terms of layering, but in terms of travel wardrobe. If you can only buy one fleece, go for the SV. Great construction and fit. Very comfortable.
Very snug-fitting zip pullover. Literally have to peel it off. Lighter weight a plus, no bulkiness yet no sacrifice in warmth, half zip does allow for some ventilation. Minimalist type of mid layer for those milder days. Great for around town.
The material of this pullover is great on the skin. It keep me warm during a spring hike. Since I got it on a sale price, the 'Gator' color wasn't the preferred color for my skin tone. Nevertheless, am happy with it, since I expect to wear a jacket over it for colder climates.
Great piece, it fits well and is nice and warm. The only improvement I would add is something more pliable at the end of the sleeves so they can be pushed up further to better regulate temperature.
Don't get me wrong, I love this sweater. Though it is a snug fit, I just went up a size from my usual and it's fine. Very warm and great as a layer. It's such a good looking sweater that I tend to wear it casually more than in the mountains... my only true complaint with it is that it does not block wind at all... I know it's not necessarily designed to do that, but seriously, without a jacket or something over it, it does a poor job with wind. I still recommend it though! I love it.
Use this fleece for what it was designed for and you will never need another. It's worked it's way to the top of my gear pile for 3 simple reasons: 1. Weight - 11.7 oz. On your body, unnoticeable. 2. Warmth - By itself, wonderful is mild weather or around the house. Under a shell, all you need to stay warm and keep moving. 3. Breathability - Somehow the folks at Arc'teryx have designed the grid fleece pattern in a way that keeps you warm but never sweaty/clammy.
I had a cotton t and this fleece on when I got stuck 4-wheeling off of Jack's Cabin cutoff in CO during August. I had to hike out as the sun was going down, and from the start to finish, this fleece kept my temperature perfectly regulated. I truly didn't need another piece of gear; it kept me warm and yet cool because it breathes so well. What makes it killer is that it looks great for casual wear too! Don't think - just buy.
