Description

Warmth without the weight.

When you want light weight and breathability it often means that you have to sacrifice warmth. That's not the case with the Arc'Teryx Delta AR Glove. The Delta is made with a pill-resistant, high-loft shearling that works well as insulation for a shell glove or as a stand-alone glove on cold, dry days. Aggressively articulated fingers provide exceptional dexterity, and slim-fit stretch cuffs give you a snug fit with added bulk.

Great Gloves!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These gloves are great for what they are. Not waterproof but very light weight and warm. Arc'teryx means great quality and attention to detail and these gloves are no exception!

Perfect for running around doing errands

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

I got these gloves for my sister for Christmas and she says that they are perfect for walking her son to school in the morning and running around doing errands. They live in CT so weather can be very unpredictable so they are perfect for the sunnier days, even if it is cold out. And as with any fleece product they do not do so well in precipitation.

Love Glove :)

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Awesome glove! Fits under an insulated shell glove as a heavy-duty liner. Great when running, cross-country skiing or just wandering around town. Very fluffy with a close-fitting elasticized cuff.

Super Warm!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

A very warm glove. Nice attention to detail (however, with Arc'Teryx this is the norm). If you're going to be getting them in contact with snow, I do not recommend this one. This is great for short hikes, commuting, hitting the town in style, etc.

Best liners ever

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

First off they are sooooo warm! And second if you look closely to how the fingers are stitched you can see they mapped each finger individually. This makes a big difference when you are putting it inside another glove. There is no extra material adding bulk.

Best fleece gloves ever

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had multiple pairs of fleece gloves and these are by far my favorites. The fit tightly but are supremely warm and dextrous. I do wish they had some faux leather in the palm to improve grip, but I can't fault them for that because they're not billed as that type of glove.

What would be the best shell to use over these for winter backpacking or cross country skiing?

You might want to look at the Rivet AR Glove:
http://www.backcountry.com/arcteryx-rivet-ar-glove
It offers more weather protection than the Delta but it still breathable. The Rivet features Polartec Powerstretch with Hardface Technology. Meaning it will shed snow better than the Delta AR and it has a DWR finish.

Bargain!

I never thought I'd use the words "Arc'teryx" and "bargain" together, but these gloves make me do it. Even at full price they're a bargain, and I found a pair on sale. Thick, soft, warm, good-looking, true-to-size, easy on and off. They do what they claim to, functioning on their own in cold (but not super-cold), dry weather or as a substantial liner. Only negative that I can think of is that the palms are a bit slippery for driving, but not bad. An all-around great buy.

i have a pair, they are thicker than the average liner, warmer, more durably knit and better designed--(curve of hand) Plus have a leather pull tab to help on/off. definitely an above average liner.

What is the coldest weather these will handle and your hands still be warm ?

Hey Myrrh, hard to say... they are only 200 weight fleece, so they are not windproof at all... In my opinion these would be best as a layer, driving glove, or hiking glove where your hands get hot... not for keeping warm while sitting or in wet conditions...
