Covert Sweater - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Leave it to the designers at Arc'teryx to make fleece even better. The Men's Covert Crew uses knit Polartec Thermal Pro material so it looks like wool, but breathes, wicks, and feels luxuriously soft and smooth. Innovations such as No-lift gusseted underarms and a laminated sleeve pocket quickly identify the Covert as an Arc'teryx classic. And with excessive breathability and a quick-drying nature, this pullover is no pushover. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: Not a pushover pullover.

Great Insulator... Stylish!

By:

I must admit I wear the Covert Crew more around town, than as a insulating piece under my Sidewinder SV.

On the slopes, I used the Covert Crew as a mid-layer and was quite warm. I think the Covert Crew would be perfect as your mid-layer for a soft shell jacket. The Covert Crew is very breatheable.

What makes the Covert Crew great? THE STYLE! Simple, classy and easy on the eye! The Covert Crew is first off the rack in my closet come wintertime... it will be on high rotation in your closet as well!

The neckhole...

By:
February 21, 2005

I forgot about this cause it's not a big deal, but the other reviewer wasn't wrong about the neck hole size. It is a bit of a squeeze, pretty weird actually. But then it looks neater cause the neck's snug around your collar...but that guy didn't just have a huge head, the neckhole does run pretty small...

Jawohl

I actually just got the covert for christmas, but I really like it. I got eclipse, which is a very cool color, not purply a'tall, just tasteful blue. It looks like cashmere, very dressy, but is just thermal pro which of course is quite woot. The pocket on the arm lets the folks know that what you're wearing is actually really cool not just some old man's sweater. The fit is excellent-not baggy in the torso but plenty long in arms and length-almost too much. Layers great under my (also new) Theta AR, which is for the record the beautiffulest shell in the world. But ja, the Covert Crew is great. It's actually very very warm for a sweater, it's more like a midweight fleece jacket, but layers better. Kritios Boy is quite warm.

This must be the best everyday, outdoor clothing I've ever bought. You never feel too hot or too cold, just perfect. A nice and cosy material. I wish it would come in more colors and designs!

Arc'teryx crew

By:
March 1, 2006

This is absolutely the best crew I have ever had, and I'm 70-years old. I now have the grey and a brick, my wife thinks I wear one or the other every day. She is probably correct! Why wear anything else, I am retired and should be able to do as I please. Ties don't go well with Arc'teryx crews, so on some occasions I am forced to go to other items.

Comfy and Light

Super comfortable and warm for its weight. My only complaint is that the neck is a little tight to get my head through. I've never had this problem with a shirt before. I don't think I have a big head, but it sure is a squeeze. Maybe I should have gotten the one with the zipper...
