Got this for my girlfriend and she loves it. Really sharp looking. The fitted fit is nice and flattering, considering normal fleeces can just be blobby. She really loves how it has an uncanny way of keeping here not too warm not too cold when wearing it indoors. Wind definitely cuts through it and is not as warm as a heavy fleece. It's also a bit too warm for her to run in. But for a casual wear anywhere and look good fleece, it's just about perfect. Most likely a great mid layer under a shell too, although haven't tried that yet.
Crazy expensive for a fleece so deducting a star there. As far as durability, after a month or so, starting to notice some beginning pilling / wear, but nothing objectionable, and besides Arcteryx has warranty for the reasonable lifetime of the product, so will just send it to them if there are problems. OR will just send back to backcountry because their return policy is ridiculously generous.
I will say that the Raku (deep purple) color is bewitching. I originally thought it looked like dark grey with a hint of purple, but everyday it gets more purple to my eye. It looks great in any light though.

Ordered the Arc'teryx in M, was slightly fitted so a L was reordered. I am very impressed with the quality of the fabric & stitching (I'm a part-time seamstress). I was reluctant to get it initially due to the price but after having ordered and returned numerous fleece jackets, this one's a keeper. I also get compliments on the colour (Raku) & slimming fit.

Buyers need to know that the sleeves on this jacket is shorter than other Arc'teryx fleece jackets. They are rather tight fitting that compliments women's figures. However, they are just below waist line unless you wear larger size.

Absolutely love this piece. I'm shorter in the torso, so this fits perfectly, with good sleeve length! Washes up easily, but wash inside out to prevent pilling, and maybe light heat in the dryer... Arc'teryx always nails the colors too, so expect awesome pop and unique hues! Oh and size up if you have big boobs, it's snug across the shoulders.
Is the "Raku" colour blue, grey or dark...

Is the "Raku" colour blue, grey or dark purple in tone? It's hard to tell from the picture. Thank you.

I have three of the covert cardigans-purpura, black and celadron..I love the fact that they actually fit me(100# and 4'11"). They are very stylish and fit well underneath a shell. The fit for me is more form-fitted so they are low profile enough to go underneath my shell jackets. They are not wind resistant nor windproof so if it is windy out you will need a windproof shell over the top. I have not washed them more than once thus far so I cannot attest to the "piling issue" others have experienced. Since they are guaranteed for life they can be sent back to Arc Teryx for warranty work.

Covert - Pills

I bought my first cardigan in off white - loved the color and fit - however, it pilled very easily. So, what did I do? I bought another one in the brown color. It did the same thing and at $175.00 a piece, I not only made one mistake, I made two! Great fit, but it pills too quickly. Not worth the investment.

Pretty but not functional

The fit is on the short side in both the length of the body and the sleeves, order a size up. The wind rips right through this jacket. It is definitely a pretty wearing piece, not a stand alone jacket to keep you warm. It functions well under a hardshell as an insulating layer.

Received this as a gift. GREAT looking light fleece. I am 5'5 and 115 lbs. The medium is a little snug but fits.

I really like the shape and feel and look of this jacket. It is great under a shell and it is nice just to wear for everyone to see because it looks so good. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because wind goes right through it like it's not even there. I didn't buy this for a wind breaker by any means, but I wasn't expecting the wind to go through it so easily.
great!

I love the Arcteryx brand and quality of their products. You pay a bit more for them, but it is totally worth the extra $$$'s. This jacket has nice styling and a good fit. The fleece does not pill or shed like cheaper brands. Seams are solid. And I love the selection of colors. Makes a great liner under your shell for cold ski days. Also great on it's own as a jacket or sweater for around town. I plan to buy more colors.
My favorite jackets!

I bought one couple of years ago. I loved it so much that I bought few more in different color, some with hoody and some without. I love the quality, colors and style of this jacket. I wore them many many times and after many washes they look absolutely brand new. I hang dry them and they dry out in a flash.

Very good looking sweater. Light enough I wouldn't consider a jacket, but I wear it indoors for teaching in the winter here in Wyoming. Expensive for what you get. I received it as a gift, would not have purchased fro myself. It sarted pilling within a year.

I have this jacket in basmati and love it! It fits true to size and is the perfect balance between a classy/city jacket and a jacket that fits well and is very warm. I wear it almost everyday!
