I just wanted to let everyone know that the center back length of this jacket in a size small is 31 inches.

Would you recommend this coat or the similar...
Would you recommend this coat or the similar arcteryx aphilia? which one has a better material? for urban use on the west coast
Ye this jacket is really great! It has gortex so you will remain completely dry while strolling around town. It is also very flattering on the figure so you can wear it to classy events and feel just right! This is the only Arcteryx in the parka length, so it should be absolutely perfect.
I own the lanea coat in a small. How is...
I own the lanea coat in a small. How is the sizing of that coat compare to the codetta? I am trying to decide between small and extra small. I am 5'3 125# muscular build.
Arc'teryx has several different fits in their line including "next to skin," trim, athletic, expedition, and relaxed (in ascending order of fullness). The Lanea coat is a trim fit while the Codetta is a relaxed fit in Arc'teryx's system. They will also feel a little different because the Lanea is a wool/fleece combo while the Codetta is a waterproof shell. If you fit a small Lanea coat well I would size down to an xs in the Codetta.
Exactly what I needed and expected. The length is great in rainy, damp weather and keeps your legs from getting wet as well as allowing you to sit on a wet seat (Like a bleacher) in comfort. It Breathes!! No sweating inside the jacket, as promised because of the GoreTex material. The attached hood was easy to raise and lower and was big enough to actually shield my face. It helped when I wore a visor under it to keep the brim off my forward so I could see better when sightseeing. Deep pockets meant I didn't have to take a purse. I liked the snaps that I could easily snap closed when it got a little chilly. The fact that I didn't have to zip it up each time was nice, although I did zip it in heavy rain. The cuffs that are somewhat curved by the hand is a feminine touch and becoming. It is not a warm jacket which is what I wanted. I layered to achieve the warmth that i needed and used the jacket for rain and wind. Exactly what I wanted. It is a very versatile jacket with a bit of fit to it so I don't look like I have on my husbands coat. I am a big fan!
