You know that a trim-fitting insulated hoody layers up with ease when you're boarding in a blizzard. But did you also know the Arc'teryx Women's Ceva Hooded Jacket is a solid piece of stand-alone weather protection when you're biking through the city or heading out for an evening adventure when the night is dark and maybe stormy? Lightweight and low-profile, the insulated Ceva Hooded jacket packs a lot of warmth into a small package.

When you're slaying stormy snow dragons, the Ceva slips over your thermal baselayer and under a hardshell for weather-busting protection. Stretch side panels provide simple twisting when you need to buckle your boots and act as lateral vents to prevent you from overheating. If you're in town, this sleek hoodie spices up jeans and a cashmere turtleneck for an urban-outdoor appearance. Bike commuting can be a bear on chilly, damp days, but the DWR finish on the Ceva helps the jacket shed water so you can cycle through town without arriving at the office looking like a drowned rat.

In town or on the mountain, the trim scuba hood hugs your head so all the hot air you create and need doesn't get wasted. Coreloft insulation doesn't bulk you up, so your girlish figure stays ladylike and warm, too. Insulated hand pockets give you quick access to coffee cash or a safe place to rest chilly paws.

Love this....way more than I expected to

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I was expecting to return this for an Atom LT hoody, but I ended up loving this jacket. It is beautiful (Heron)and fits perfectly. I can fit the equivalent of a fleece under and my shell over. The warmth is perfect, stand alone in mild temps, layer in cooler temps. The only minor note is that the Arcteryx label is not in the location as shown in the photo. Great service from Backcountry, as usual.
