Description

Unlike those shoulder-patch, chest-pocket fleeces everyone wears, the Caliber stands apart.

You have to wonder: do the designers at Arc’teryx ever rest? After experiencing the Men’s Caliber Zip Neck Sweater, we can quite simply say: no they don’t. And thank (insert favorite all-powerful force here) for that. Unlike bulky pile fleece, this zip-neck pullover has a streamlined cut that doesn’t skimp on midweight insulation. Climb, hike, or bike in comfort; a relaxed fit and underarm gussets mean you can move about with unrestricted flexibility. True to classic Arc’teryx detailing, tight-woven Polartec fleece was used to create this breathable, quick-drying piece that wicks moisture away and creates a unique textural style.

Very comfortable, warm and light. Perfect over a base layer and under shell for a typical ski day. The arm pocket seems to be pretty useless for me. Sizing is athletic and accurate for me; I am 5'9"and have the M.

This thin fleece layer is typical of Arcteryx stuff - the colours pop, the design is mostly minimal (the exception is that patch/pocket on the shoulder, I've never used it), and the price tag is ungodly. I saved up and could barely afford it on sale. So why go through the trouble?
The triumph with this top is the fit. How does Arc'teryx know exactly what I'm shaped like? I fit perfectly in a M for everything they make. I'm 5'11" and have a pretty scrawny build (the "I don't do pushups" kind) so the average fleece makes me look like a balloon. This one's clean, fit to form, and I can wear it for days. Having clothing I can wear to work, to the pub, and just as easily in the backcountry is just, um, schweet.

This was my first piece of Arc’teryx clothing. In all honesty, my expectations for this brand were slightly higher. The fit is great (Large), true to size.(5'8.5" 185-190) It is not skin tight, but is fitted with plenty of room to move around in. I purchased the silver fleece, which I like but it is not my go to piece. It tends to appear a bit bland. To me there is nothing about it that screams that it is a quality high dollar piece when wearing it, nevertheless, it is still very nice and warm for a light weight thin product. My opinion of the bland appearance may just be because of the color I bought, or maybe that is the style. I have seen other brands in gear stores though, that catch my eye, but still carry the quality clean cut look. If a nice fitting light weight polar tech fleece is what you are looking for, I believe this will do the job.

Just took delivery of this piece. I own a variety of Arcteryx pieces. In my opinion, they are the best in the business. This fleece is a perfect mid weight layer. Not too form fitting but not too baggy either. Very well designed. Great lounging around in or for light hiking. It's too nice for a hiking thrasher. Not as heavy as the Arc Covert line but just as stylish. I'm 6'2 and 200 pounds with a 35 inch sleeve. XL is perfect. Solid addition!

Have yet to use it skiing/touring, but got it today and love how it fits. Pretty warm as well, definitely takes that place of a light jacket. collar stands up with out being zipped up, or can be folded down, but standing up looks pretty cool, and not as high to make you look like a frat boy on friday night. (No offense fart brothers out there) Will report back when I actaully get after it in this!

Fits well, I usually wear a large with room, med, is usually a pretty tight fit. Med fits well, could easly fit another layer underneath, good athletic cut, I'm 5'11", 170lbs.
