Arc'teryx Caliber Hooded Fleece Jacket

  • Gender: Female

I've only just received this 'jacket.' I think calling it a jacket is a misnomer. It's like a cardigan sweater hoodie at best, and a very thin fabric one at that. I can hardly even imagine wearing it outdoors. It does seem like it would be warm to wear around the house in midwinter. I would definitely NOT spend this amount of money (even the sale price) on this garment again, and largely because of this, I would not recommend it to a friend or anyone else. To say something positive, it does seem well constructed. It's too short too though.

Almost

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The fabric is fabulous. Cozy and soft. So much so, in fact, that I tend to sleep in it. It's not quite as warm as I was expecting and, certainly does nothing to sway a breeze. My biggest objection is with the cut. The pictures make it look very flatering when, in fact, the shoulders are tight, the waist is baggy and the lenght is barely long enough (5'8" big chest and wearing an extra large.) I wish I knew where they get the ideas for these measurements as it is an issue with all of the tops that I attempt to purchase.
I wanted to return it at first but, it's just so damn comfortable that I ended up buying a second one.

Hi!
Is this longer than the Strato (also from Arc)?

I got the answer from one of the sales reps. The Caliber is longer. But the strato L is ca 27" long in the back.

Responded on

The Arc'teryx Strato is longer than the Caliber and about twice the warmth value (100wt for Caliber, 200wt for Strato)

so,so,jacket

got this jacket cause i wanted something that was fitted and not boxy or frommpy.well the arm and shoulder area is a bit roomy.a little dissappointed with that.it fit everywhere else fine.I wear a large maybe I s should of gotten a medium instead.but then it might be too short and tight around the middle.it's hard to judge cause you can't try on things when you purchase things on line.over all I probably would not of bought this if I kwew about the fit.

Purrrrrfect!

Bought this for for a light weight outer layer for cool mornings and evenings on the trails. It is incredibly warm for such a lightweight piece and will pack up nice and small for my one-bag 3-week trip to Croatia later this year. Fits like a dream and the scuba hood is great for windy areas. And the purpla color - yummy!
