Mixed Feedback on a Well-Made Product
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
Bought these on the basis of great experience with the Arc'teryx Bastion Pants, which have proven to be a great travel pant. Hoped that the Bastion Long Short would make a great travel pant, but...
Fit is right on: a bit relaxed, though true to size. Will prove reliable for any body type.
Fabric is tough, yet lightweight, drying quickly and resisting wear well.
Construction is usual, impeccable Arc'teryx quality.
Unfortunately, the length for me (a 6' tall guy) didn't prove as on-the-mark as it did for reviewer CJLP. I found the shorts just a bit too long, coming down over the kneecap (and over the crease of the knee in the back), making for an awkward appearance and a bit of irritation. With a slight reduction in length, these would be awesome, but they miss the mark for me a bit in their current form.
Arc'teryx Bastion "Long" Shorts
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
Great shorts. Very comfortable, smooth and light. Bought second pair already because I prefer having a few on hand after I love them and before they are not available agin. I wear shorts daily and they fit is great.
It's surely relaxed fit and actually creates a "great behind" in case you don't have on (as I do).
arcteryx makes a great garment
everybody knows that arcteryx is the best in technical apparel, but their casual stuff is the same high quality materials that make their tech stuff great. these shorts look good and fit well. although, im 6'2" and they arent necessarily "long", id say they are an average length short. overall a good product.
