Description

A trim performance piece that combines insulation with breathability like no other.

Arc’teryx crafted the Women’s Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket with extra warm Coreloft insulation on the main body and breathable Polartec Power Stretch panels under your arms so things won’t get muggy when you perspire. A femme-friendly cut, articulated elbows, and gusseted underarms make this just the thing for mountain mamas who want to go work up a sweat on a downright-chilly day. Your ears will thank you for the insulated Scuba Hood that fits under a ski or climbing helmet. The Atom LT Jacket’s outer face resists wind and water, but on truly soggy days, slip a hardshell over it for bombproof warmth and protection.

Absolutely love it

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I use this jacket for everything- hiking, backpacking, climbing, day to day use. It is super light, warm for its weight, extremely comfortable. I would say it is true to size- I am 5'2", ~115 lbs, chest ~ 35", and I normally have trouble getting sleeves to fit properly as I have wider forearms from climbing, but the XS fits me perfectly. I can wear two long sleeved shirts under it. At first I was a little worried about the sleeve cuffs being too tight, but they loosened to a comfortable fit with use. I always wear it with a thin fleece baselayer with thumb holes, and that layer fits me fine under the cuff. Would definitely recommend to anyone. I've used it a lot for a year and the jacket is still in great shape. Got the poppy color and absolutely love it.

Love this jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I ordered this jacket awhile ago and love it. I ordered a size small which was borderline but I loved the color so kept it (my chest is 35" and I'm 5'3", 125lbs). I just got another bright colored one in a medium so now have one to hear as a base layer and another to wear over clothes. This has replaced my lightweight down puffy and is great in cool, wet, windy weather. I took it to Orlando with me this Thanksgiving (where it was rather chilly) and it was perfect. I also have the vest in the same model and love it equally. I have become an Arc'teryx junky.

The most versatile jacket I own

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I love this jacket. This was the first Arc'teryx item I've ever owned, and it certainly won't be the last. Not only is it extremely breathable and comfortable, but the cut is very flattering! Somehow it manages to nip in the waist a bit to show off your shape without being to restrictive or sacrificing any insulation. I love the stretchy side panels for breathability, and I never feel a chill in those areas in particular so they do their job well without letting in the cold. It has a lot of shoulder mobility and I felt comfortable climbing in it. It's great as a stand alone piece for chilly days and as a warm mid layer for colder ones. Anything too cold (nearing 40 degrees F) and I would go to the Atom SV. It's slightly wind resistant but not by much, so I wouldn't count on it to keep out much wind chill.

The interior pocket is really nice and roomy, and the zippers pull like a dream. The gasket cuffs are very comfortable and great for keeping the warmth in, but they do make it a little difficult to layer underneath if your base layer has thumbholes. Water beads right off it when it's clean--if you don't wash it often enough it starts to get a bit waterlogged, so that's something to be aware of if you're packing it for long trips without access to washing.

Speaking of packing, this thing is so light and packable that it's practically weightless. I've shoved it into some pretty tiny purses while out on the town! The only downside I've found is that it doesn't stuff into a pocket that you can then clip to a harness...it does stuff into its own sleeve, but that doesn't help if you're up a crag.

All in all, this piece is worth every penny. It's super versatile, well made and looks great to boot.

Is it possible to order to Slovenia? I tried to order this Jacket, but Slovenia is not on the country list.

Hey Marjana

Unfortunately we cannot ship to Slovenia, even if we could we cannot ship Arc'tryx across the United States line.

Light, warm, breatheable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I own both Atom LT and Atom SV models and get lots of use out of both of them.
I prefer the atom light when i am doing high output activities where i want something a little more breatheable. The 60 gms of coreloft provide just enough insulation to keep me warm without overheating and the polartec side panels do an excellent job of breathing as well as give the jacket some stretch.
It has a nice fitted feminine cut and great colors.

Atom SV in Reef blue. Atom LT in Bondi blue
SV is slightly more generous in cut and the LT is more fitted

Best Jacket ever!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

As many people already mentioned, this jacket can be worn year round.
It's so versatile and good for layering on cold days and I can wear it everyday.
I love it so much that I bought another one: this time I bought one with a hood!
Would definitely recommend it!

Love it!

This jacket is so versatile! Definitely a year round piece.
Shove it into my climbing bag, great mid layer under my shell, have run in it on chilly days, and its now doubling as a blanket on my legs as I type this review.
I am 5' 7" 118 lbs with a 34 A bust. I usually have to order a small as an xs sleeve length is too short for me. Small fits but a bit roomy in the waist.

Great travel gear

I love it. A friend had it on a weekend getaway and talked it up. It packs up tiny and is very light weight for the warmth and windproof it provides.
I'm 5'5", 135lb, 36" chest and muscular shoulders; I ordered the small and medium to make sure I got the right size and kept the medium.

Stellar Piece to have handy

Bought this for my wife. She loves it. Uses it ski touring, and as an everyday layering piece. Warmth, weight, and breath-ability are a few of the key features to this must have synthetic. The exterior fabric on the Atom LT is a little more water resistant than that found in the comparable Patagonia Nano Puff.

Awesome jacket

this is my go to jacket. I use it for layering when I am downhill skiing, or alone for cross country and snowshoeing. I also have the Atom Lt jacket, but find I use the hooded one the most. Definitely recommend

Best jacket ever.

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I purchased this sort of on a whim, and I was in for a pleasant surprise! I have had the jacket for four months now, and have put it through a lot of conditions. It works phenomenally well insulating as well as breathing. I've worn it at the climbing gym while warming up, up Little Cottonwood Canyon for a middle of the night impromptu bonfire in freezing conditions trudging through snow, beach bouldering at Costa Del Mar (Newport Beach) during a rain storm, and right now while I sit here in my cubicle at backcountry writing this review. I absolutely recommend this jacket! It has a flattering cut, and the articulated joints on the arms work amazingly well for climbing! It is surprisingly lightweight, and so epically comfy. Love everything about this jacket.

Best jacket ever.

just a note about the cuffs

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The cuffs on this jacket are well integrated to the sleeves - seamless and snug around the wrists. The material stretches and is extremely comfortable, but if you're wearing this as a casual jacket (i.e., tossing it on and tossing it off for quick trips to the curb), you may find the snug cuffs to require some conscious effort when taking the jacket off. But for activities where you don't want snow or wind finding their way up your sleeve, this is perfect.
Regarding the rest of the features, I love this jacket, it's very versatile and great for layering. Relatively lightweight (it's heavier than, say, the Patagonia Ultralight Down Jacket/Hoodie), warm, slim fitting and feminine (not boxy fit). Love the colors offered, and I had a tough time picking just one to take home. My husband has been envious of the features on this jacket and is looking for the men's equivalent :)

Worth the price!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This atom LT is incredibly warm and incredibly lightweight. I've used it during some high 20's to mid 30's days for running and it is perfect. I barely notice I am wearing it and it keeps my upper body extremely warm. The tapered sleeves, though surprising at first, are a great touch that makes me like the jacket even more. I normally wear a small, but decided to get a medium which fits right and is not too large. Spend the $220. This jacket is worth the price.

Best Jacket Ever!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wore this as a layer with a -20 windchill snowboarding and was perfect all day long. I got caught in one of these awesome snowstorms that UT has been having with just this jacket to protect me. It was a cold wet snow, I had a 30 min ride home on my bike. I got home both warm and dry. I love that when heading downhill the hood didn't fall off like most hoods do. This is my first Arc'teryx item and it is totally worth the money!

You have sold me on this jacket, was caught in a snowstorm in Park City about 3 weeks ago and wish I had had this jacket under my shell, I was freezing!!!

Favorite jacket

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This jacket is great for wearing alone or as a layer. I wear it alone around town and snowshoeing and it keeps me warm even in temperatures around 25 degrees.
I like that the wrist cuffs are tight and not bulky. The coat also packs down small if you get too hot with it on as a layer and want to take it off. I like that the armpit area and sides of the jacket are a very breathable fabric. You won't be sweating in this jacket!
There are two things I do not like: the fabric is a little noisy when it brushes itself and the hood is not adjustable.

Great Jacket and Layer; runs small

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This jacket is great! It is very warm and breathable. It is a great backcountry touring jacket as well as a very breathable soft shell to layer underneath a hardshell on stormy days. Arcteryx runs a little small. I am 5'7" and typically wear a Small/4 and I got a medium in this jacket and it fits great and I still have room to layer underneath.

Update: I have now worn this numerous times touring in UT and WY. I heat up quickly and was looking for a jacket I would need to remove when skinning up. This jacket has answered that need in both traditional cold winter temps and frigid or windy days. It's easy to clean and the fit is great. Also, I really like the cuffs and hood.

  • Fit: True to size

The warmth to weight ratio of this jacket is nothing short of shocking. For how thin and lightweight the jacket appears, the CoreLoft provides a serious punch of warmth. Love the hood too, the silky, insulated lining is great. You don't find too many insulated hoods so this is an excellent find.

Pockets are sizable, fit is flattering, and its an absolutely awesome no-bulk option to layer underneath a shell for skiing. It's my new "Go-To"

My New Favorite Do-Everything Jacket!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Just got back from Patagonia and my arc'teryx jacket was everything I expected from this brand. Four seasons in one day is typical there, so this was always my go-to. It was incredibly warm, but breathable and comfortable to hike in and it provided a decent amount of protection from the wind too. The stretchy fabric on the sides increased mobility for bouldering and climbing, but I never felt like my sides got cold either. It was easy to layer under my rain jacket even though I got a medium ( I typically wear a small) and it was perfect for sleeping in when it got really extra cold at night. The hood is very cozy and stays on, but there is no draw cord on it. Six and a half weeks of serious use and it still looks just like new!

Great insulating layer!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this jacket a few weeks ago and so far it's been my go-to cold weather jacket. I love the fact that it has a decently sized hood and DWR treatment. I've been using it as a midlayer under my ski shell and it's very warm. This jacket is made with typical Arc'teryx quality: bombproof. It has an athletic fit with a shorter torso and long arms with a cute, feminine cut. Love it!
