Versatility at its finest.

You'll end up keeping the Arc'teryx Women's Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket close by throughout the year. Wear it by itself from spring to fall on chilly outdoorsy adventures whether you're backpacking or hiking, and then slide a waterproof shell over it for ski sessions in winter. Its Tinthan shell keeps the Atom LT light yet strong, and the DWR coating sheds light rainfall to help keep you dry. Polartec Power Stretch side panels wick moisture, dry quickly, breathe, and provide a four-way stretch for uninhibited mobility.

Arc'teryx also added Coreloft insulation that uses air permeable panels to ensure excellent thermal regulation. A trim fit helps you layer over the Atom Lt with ease, and the StormHood is adjustable, insulated, and helmet-compatible. This jacket also features an adjustable hem for a secure fit, two zippered hand pockets, and one zippered internal chest pocket.

Wear it EVERY day

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I got the Atom LT at the end of last season on close-out and literally haven't taken it off since. Just bought another one in Carbon Copy! It's awesome as a layering piece to wear under a shell when I'm skiing... Stretchy side panels are great for movement, as well as provide some venting when I'm hiking.
I wore this almost every day this summer too - it's my go to jacket when temperatures start to drop at night.
LOVE the scuba hood with higher neck, side panels, colors, warmth, breathability, mobility... EVERYTHING about it is pretty awesome.

Key differences between the LT and the AR:
LT (Lightweight) is nearly 100 grams lighter than the AR.
LT has breathable, stretch side panels for enhanced comfort and mobility.
LT - "Trim Fit"
AR - "Athletic Fit"
Bottom line - AR is going to be a little warmer, slightly heavier and fit will be on the bigger side.

I don't really layer much under this so I went with the Small and it is perfect. I'm 5'6, 130lb for reference. If I were to layer more under it (or if it had been in stock) I probably would've gone with the Medium... But that stretch panel is a soft fleecy material on the inside and the rest of it is just smooth and breathable against bare skin, so no problem wearing anything from thin long-sleeve to simple tank top underneath.

Do it, BUY IT!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Absolutely my favorite go-to piece. There isn't a single thing I don't love about this item. I have other Arc'teryx items and they sometimes fit me kind of wonky (short on the arms, tight on the chest, short on the torso) so I was skeptical to invest in the Atom but I am just so pleased. I am 5' 10'' and 145lbs and a medium fits every area great. Perfect on the arms and chest but with enough room for me to wear other layers underneath and compressible to wear an outer layer on top. It also packs great and really condenses. It's perfect for wandering around the PNW - if it looks like rain may come, I know the Atom will do a great job of keeping me dry in light showers. Also, it looks SO GOOD. I wear it out and about and feel like it really flatters a women's figure. I also live in a house where everyone - male and female- owns and Atom and we all feel the same love for this item. It's so perfect for so many adventures or activities- definitely worth the price!

My second Atom LT

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

So I first bought an Atom LT last winter. It is my favorite jacket for around town, Touring, hiking/camping and climbing. It's really the most versatile thing ever! If I had the money I'd buy all the colors that I want (let me tell you I want a lot of them). I purchased my second one because I bought the first one in a size medium for the extra length but I found that it was a bit baggy and I would rarely wear anything under it because it kept me so warm as a standalone. So I got a size small and I love it! It fits perfect everywhere and I look forward to using it in the fall! I am truly satisfied with this jacket that I would recommend it to any one that is looking for an all around kick ass insulated layer.
