As many people already mentioned, this jacket can be worn year round.
It's so versatile and good for layering on cold days and I can wear it everyday.
I love it so much that I bought another one: this time I bought one with a hood!
Would definitely recommend it!
Love it!

This jacket is so versatile! Definitely a year round piece.
Shove it into my climbing bag, great mid layer under my shell, have run in it on chilly days, and its now doubling as a blanket on my legs as I type this review.
I am 5' 7" 118 lbs with a 34 A bust. I usually have to order a small as an xs sleeve length is too short for me. Small fits but a bit roomy in the waist.
Great travel gear

I love it. A friend had it on a weekend getaway and talked it up. It packs up tiny and is very light weight for the warmth and windproof it provides.
I'm 5'5", 135lb, 36" chest and muscular shoulders; I ordered the small and medium to make sure I got the right size and kept the medium.
Stellar Piece to have handy

Bought this for my wife. She loves it. Uses it ski touring, and as an everyday layering piece. Warmth, weight, and breath-ability are a few of the key features to this must have synthetic. The exterior fabric on the Atom LT is a little more water resistant than that found in the comparable Patagonia Nano Puff.
Awesome jacket

this is my go to jacket. I use it for layering when I am downhill skiing, or alone for cross country and snowshoeing. I also have the Atom Lt jacket, but find I use the hooded one the most. Definitely recommend

I purchased this sort of on a whim, and I was in for a pleasant surprise! I have had the jacket for four months now, and have put it through a lot of conditions. It works phenomenally well insulating as well as breathing. I've worn it at the climbing gym while warming up, up Little Cottonwood Canyon for a middle of the night impromptu bonfire in freezing conditions trudging through snow, beach bouldering at Costa Del Mar (Newport Beach) during a rain storm, and right now while I sit here in my cubicle at backcountry writing this review. I absolutely recommend this jacket! It has a flattering cut, and the articulated joints on the arms work amazingly well for climbing! It is surprisingly lightweight, and so epically comfy. Love everything about this jacket.
just a note about the cuffs

The cuffs on this jacket are well integrated to the sleeves - seamless and snug around the wrists. The material stretches and is extremely comfortable, but if you're wearing this as a casual jacket (i.e., tossing it on and tossing it off for quick trips to the curb), you may find the snug cuffs to require some conscious effort when taking the jacket off. But for activities where you don't want snow or wind finding their way up your sleeve, this is perfect.
Regarding the rest of the features, I love this jacket, it's very versatile and great for layering. Relatively lightweight (it's heavier than, say, the Patagonia Ultralight Down Jacket/Hoodie), warm, slim fitting and feminine (not boxy fit). Love the colors offered, and I had a tough time picking just one to take home. My husband has been envious of the features on this jacket and is looking for the men's equivalent :)
Worth the price!

This atom LT is incredibly warm and incredibly lightweight. I've used it during some high 20's to mid 30's days for running and it is perfect. I barely notice I am wearing it and it keeps my upper body extremely warm. The tapered sleeves, though surprising at first, are a great touch that makes me like the jacket even more. I normally wear a small, but decided to get a medium which fits right and is not too large. Spend the $220. This jacket is worth the price.

I wore this as a layer with a -20 windchill snowboarding and was perfect all day long. I got caught in one of these awesome snowstorms that UT has been having with just this jacket to protect me. It was a cold wet snow, I had a 30 min ride home on my bike. I got home both warm and dry. I love that when heading downhill the hood didn't fall off like most hoods do. This is my first Arc'teryx item and it is totally worth the money!

This jacket is great for wearing alone or as a layer. I wear it alone around town and snowshoeing and it keeps me warm even in temperatures around 25 degrees.
I like that the wrist cuffs are tight and not bulky. The coat also packs down small if you get too hot with it on as a layer and want to take it off. I like that the armpit area and sides of the jacket are a very breathable fabric. You won't be sweating in this jacket!
There are two things I do not like: the fabric is a little noisy when it brushes itself and the hood is not adjustable.

This jacket is great! It is very warm and breathable. It is a great backcountry touring jacket as well as a very breathable soft shell to layer underneath a hardshell on stormy days. Arcteryx runs a little small. I am 5'7" and typically wear a Small/4 and I got a medium in this jacket and it fits great and I still have room to layer underneath.
Update: I have now worn this numerous times touring in UT and WY. I heat up quickly and was looking for a jacket I would need to remove when skinning up. This jacket has answered that need in both traditional cold winter temps and frigid or windy days. It's easy to clean and the fit is great. Also, I really like the cuffs and hood.

The warmth to weight ratio of this jacket is nothing short of shocking. For how thin and lightweight the jacket appears, the CoreLoft provides a serious punch of warmth. Love the hood too, the silky, insulated lining is great. You don't find too many insulated hoods so this is an excellent find.
Pockets are sizable, fit is flattering, and its an absolutely awesome no-bulk option to layer underneath a shell for skiing. It's my new "Go-To"

Just got back from Patagonia and my arc'teryx jacket was everything I expected from this brand. Four seasons in one day is typical there, so this was always my go-to. It was incredibly warm, but breathable and comfortable to hike in and it provided a decent amount of protection from the wind too. The stretchy fabric on the sides increased mobility for bouldering and climbing, but I never felt like my sides got cold either. It was easy to layer under my rain jacket even though I got a medium ( I typically wear a small) and it was perfect for sleeping in when it got really extra cold at night. The hood is very cozy and stays on, but there is no draw cord on it. Six and a half weeks of serious use and it still looks just like new!
Great insulating layer!

I got this jacket a few weeks ago and so far it's been my go-to cold weather jacket. I love the fact that it has a decently sized hood and DWR treatment. I've been using it as a midlayer under my ski shell and it's very warm. This jacket is made with typical Arc'teryx quality: bombproof. It has an athletic fit with a shorter torso and long arms with a cute, feminine cut. Love it!

Yes it does, but they are more forward centered on the hips rather than being directly on the side.

I have the Firee in twilight and am looking for the Atom in a coordinating color for a liner on super chilly days. Is the lining of the azulene close or too red? Looks like maybe magenta is closest but prefer purples to pinks. Thx.

I bought this for my girlfriend .. she has the Arcteryx Theta AR in the Lotus colour and the liner of the hoodie is the Lotus colour. It's more of a deep pink with a bit of purple thrown in ... def not red.
You can check out the Lotus colour at arcteryx ...

I love this jacket. It's perfect for fall/early winter in Michigan. Super cozy, but has side panels so you don't overheat. Hood is insulated and very handy.
I'm 5'4 and 105lbs: small fits great with room to layer. Jacaranda (light purple) is a pretty color. Cuffs are really nice too. They don't squeeze your wrists but keep the wind out. If you're on the fence - get it, you won't regret it.
So Versatile!

An all around great piece. I'm always cold and layering under this, or wearing it alone will keep you comfortable in any weather. It's surprisingly wind-resistant for when I bike in chillier temperatures, and performed great on the rock as well as around town. I couldn't be happier. So light weight, breathable, DWR works well so far, the fleece lined pockets are a nice touch, the hood works really well under a climbing helmet etc. I can't say enough good things. I've only had it a couple of weeks but I was sure to test it in a lot of tough situations before reviewing. I have friends that have had one of these for years and they swear by the long life and durability too. I'm picky about my gear, but this one will remain a staple in my wardrobe for years to come.
