You know that sweaty, hot feeling you get on the top of your head after wearing a hat all day? Well, it sucks, so Arc'teryx added quick-wicking, breathable merino wool to the Angus Beanie. Your head will stay warm but you won't feel like you have a noggin wrapped in cellophane.

Very good

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is a very good, but lightweight beanie. I like the design and the color, but it really is too thin. The beanie is fine for me to -5-7C, at -10-12C it is too cold and offers little protection for the head and the ears, especially if it is windy.

Comfortable and stylish

The Angus toque is a warm and basic hat, perfect for a casual night on the town or under a helmet during a winter climb. The hat fits well over the ears, but is not too thick to muffle sound. I like the basic stlye, as it doesn't clash with most outfits. The hat seems to ride up a bit over time, which isn't a game changer, but noticeable nonetheless.
